[The perfect way to address your friend who is raging and shouting about murder: casually and sounding cheerful.]

Who are you fighting? You need any help?

[Not from Jean, it's not like Jean can help beat up anyone who would give Krieg trouble, but in the more general sense.]

I'm fighting NO ONE because she RAN AWAY!

[Jean, you're a good kid, but Nisha'd kick your butt.]

[Anyone from Pandora could kick Jean's butt. Well, maybe not Timothy, but everyone else? Total butt kickers.]

That sucks. Want me to have Amadeus bring Polo over to you so you can wrestle with him instead?

[Tim could totally kick Jean's butt, too. He's like the Crouching Nerdlord, Hidden Badass of the Vault Hunters.]

[Wow, Jean, really? You think you can just appease him with the offer of a giant muscle cat to wrestle--]

[Yeah, Jean should just never try and fight anyone from Pandora. It would end horribly.]

All right. I'll go find Amadeus and send him over. You want me to send Death Chicken too?

[Not for wrestling, obviously, but for adorable bonding with his dad.]

[Did Murder Chicken hear his son's name? Because that sure is Murder Chicken, shoving in between Krieg and the 'Gear to squawk an enthusiastic affirmative before Krieg can even reply.

Where did he come from? How did he get here so quickly? Who can say?

Krieg laughs at MC's eagerness and peers around him to get the 'Gear's screen back into view.]

Yeah, send the baby chicken too!

[What's that? Is that the sound of some familiar, much loved squawking? It IS, and suddenly Death Chicken is all up in Jean's business, leaping onto his shoulder and chirping cheerfully at the sight of his dad.]

[Apparently being a ninja chicken is genetic?]

Whoah!

[The sudden feathery fluff ball near his face startles Jean, and he fumbles and nearly drops the Pokegear. DC squawks and flaps his wings in panic, there's a sudden flash of white light, and... and then Jean is on his ass on the ground, with a gawky, surprised Combusken on his lap.]

What the...

[Oh dang! Oh dang! Suddenly Krieg is having to fight very hard with his feathery buddy to keep enough of the screen in view so that he can see the aftermath of Death Chicken's surprise evolution. If Jean manages to look away from his unexpected Combusken and back to his 'Gear, he'll be treated with the sight of Krieg's masked cheek pressed against MC's feathery one while they both peer into the 'Gear to bear witness.

Though even if he doesn't manage to see them, he'll no doubt hear them - Murder Chicken squawking loudly and proudly while Krieg laughs in delight.]

Mnahahahahaha! Now that's a Death Chicken!

[Jean only gets a glimpse of Krieg and Murder Chicken's smushed-together faces, but he can hear all the noise they're making. Death Chicken, once he's over his surprise, grabs the 'gear out of Jean's hands and holds it up to preen, so his dad can get a better look at him. Look at his new form! It's not even his final form! But he's a very handsome chicken, isn't he?]

Wow...

[In the background, Jean gets up and gestures for the 'gear. MC gives it back, but only so he can strut and show off with both hands/wings.]

I guess seeing you guys made him decide to evolve. Good job.

[Man, Murder Chicken and Krieg are both so proud right now...!]

Send him and the muscle cat soon! We'll show him how to fight!

[MC seconds that offer with an enthusiastic squawk. Death Chicken's gonna learn how to do so many cool things now that he has hands!]

I'd ask you to go easy on him, but...

[BUT HELL NO! DC squawks indignantly and pecks at Jean's leg. He wants to learn how to fight like his dad, dammit!]

Yeah yeah, okay, you can go learn to fight with Krieg and Murder Chicken. Go find Polo and your ball, okay?
