[All you can see is feet moving back and forth across grass, the occasional blip of an Eevee popping up on the screen. When the screen finally stops, a sigh could be heard, the view changing from the grass to the face of a rather confused looking kid.]

Okay. Remain calm, Dipper. This isn't California, or Gravity Falls, and this cat thing isn't in your imagination.

[It takes a moment for Dipper to realize that his device is recording him. Deep breath.]

If there's anyone out there who can hear me, my name is Dipper Pines! I think I'm stuck in some sort of video game dimension, and these things called Pokémon are what I'm supposed to battle with! Also, if you see or have met a girl named Mabel Pines, she's my sister. Long brown hair, headband, braces, and really friendly.

[He looks down at the Eevee beside him, mumbling to himself.]

I'm either stuck in a game or I really need to get some sleep....

[Anyone in the area will see Dipper after the broadcast sitting on the ground with his new little friend flipping through the Trainer's Handbook. Seems he's rather intent on finding out everything he can about his current situation.]

Everyone got invites t' this big fancy dance party thing, and when we showed up at the place we were supposed to get picked up, people just kinda got teleported to this big moon-hotel thing. Then after a few days these talking Pokè-things showed up and kind of apologized for everything being so weird that month?
