[Frisk frowns into the camera, sitting a ways away from Elm's lab with their backpack in their lap and a worried looking Skiddo hovering over their shoulder. They chew on their lip and look back in the direction of Mom's house before finally speaking up.]

Does anyone know where Mount Ebott is? I...I think I'm lost.

Mom? If you're here, I'm by a lab right now...I made a new friend! His name's Buddy, lemme show you--

[The feed swings around, and now you all have a...very close up view of the Skiddo's face. It sneezes on the lens.]

He's really nice! I think you'll like him, too. He doesn't say a whole lot, though.

Um, okay, bye!

[ACTION]

[Frisk shuts off the feed, and slumps forward over their backpack, the cheerful facade falling away into worry. Buddy bleats and nudges their cheek, but Frisk doesn't respond outside of reaching up a hand to pet the Pokemon.]

[This is really bad. Nothing like this has ever happened before...it doesn't feel like a RESET, but Frisk can't think of anything else that would pull them away like this. And on top of that...]

[Again, Frisk closes their eyes and turns their mental focus inward, reaching and reaching and trying...but they're alone. Nobody came.]

[Frisk sniffles, and buries their face in their arms.]

...I wanna go home...

Ashley's turned on the feed before she even knows what she's going to say so good job there? There's a few moments of hesitation, her mouth hanging open like someone hit pause just a moment to early, entirely self-conscious of herself.]

I, um, I'm sorry to say, I don't think Mount Ebott's anywhere around here, kiddo. [That worked, right, alright let's keep going.] B-but if your mom's in this world, I can...uh, I can try to help you find her! Or at least. I can ask around.

[Frisk blinks and nestles their chin a little more snugly against the top of their backpack.]

Okay...um, her name's Toriel an' she's really, really big an' super nice! She makes the best pies an' wears dresses a lot...um, her horns aren't so big, but her fur is real fluffy.

Okay, Toriel, who's nice and big and--

[Halts. Stares. Blinks.]

H...horns... And fur... Ummm.

Uh-huh!

[Clearly nothing weird about that. Nothing at all.]

...What...is your mother?

[she really wishes she didn't have to ask this]

[Frisk frowns a little, confused, but...well, not all humans are as well versed in monster types as they are.]

A boss monster. Did you see Da--um, King Asgore on th' TV ever? She's like him!

[UM. Ashley's eyes go wide and then she just- looks very confused, hold on-]

I- I-I don't think I'm, um, from your world, because monsters don't appear on TV where I'm from.

[Just on mountains, where they try to hunt down teenagers!]

Well, they weren't anywhere but th' Underground until a little ago.

[At least Frisk's monsters are much, much nicer...even if they did try to take their SOUL. Um.]

Whadda ya mean 'bout the world stuff?

[Well uh...]

Have... Have you ever heard of, um. Multi-world theory? The idea that there are...many different versions of, um...reality, like- this is one of them, a whole different planet! There's...a bunch of different...Earths, and I think you're from one, and I'm from another?
