[ The immediate scene on the screen is a very frozen Walter sitting on his bed, clearly trying to breathe very slowly, as a Flareon sits on him and is watching him very happily, wagging it's flame-like tail. It leans even closer and Walter tenses, hands curled up at his side. He doesn't relax even as the Flareon presses it's face against his chest, looking up at him with pitch black eyes.

On the floor is the remains of an egg and on the table is a Fire Stone.

Eileen chirps to him, signaling that the gear is on. She goes over and doesn't get the Flareon off him, simply smiling and checking the Flareon and clearly squeeing a little. Her first egg hatching! Walter swallows, clearly still locked up with nerves. He needs Help. Which is why Eileen was supposed to have called Manka... ]

Manaka. This isn't a Ponyta.

[ With everyone...Walter slowly eased back onto the bed, eyes still shut. He wasn't a stranger to this kind of thing. Being forced and held forward as an example of failure. When the Flareon leaned down to nose at his jaw, his hands curled into fists. He half wanted it to bite his throat and just kill him right now. ]

[ What do you THINK FELIX. Thankfully for him, the Flareon settled on his chest, either unaware or uncaring of how tense it's trainer was. He focused on his heartbeat. On his breathing. Not on the warm, heavy Pokemon on top of his chest. ]

The Fire Stone wasn't for...this. [ Holy Mother help him. He's still tense but he's not. Actively freaking out or flailing about. He's just scared. ]

I know you have a Sylveon. I don't want to hurt it. [ She had dealt with an evolution about this one's size. He had initially wanted to call her to show her the newborn Ponyta but it didn't work out that way. ]

[ His voice lowers to a soft, quiet tone ] ...I don't like big dogs. [ And to Walter, a Flareon was a large dog. Given it was nearly three feet tall. ]

[Oh shoot oh shoot now things make a lot more sense. Asriel is quick to scoot out of wherever he is - probably so if Walter manages to get to his 'gear anytime soon, he won't see Moon the red-eyed Lycanroc trying to sneak a look at what's going on - and holds the device closer to himself.]

H-Hey, Eileen! You're Eileen, right? Y-You gotta get that Pokemon off of Mister Walter!

[ Eileen tilted her head. But it's the baby! She's just trying to cuddle up to Walter, since he's basically her parent. But she eases the Flareon onto his lap, chirping and trying to encourage Walter to touch it. He swallows, still nervous and refusing to touch it thus far. ]

It...it just hatched. It was small. Eevees are small. But it grabbed the Fire Stone.

[So the bigger the dog-thing, the more frightened Walter gets? Oh boy.]

I'm still nervous. [ He admits it very quietly. He has sat up though, which is an improvement. And the Flareon continues to look at him with a softly wagging tail. Eileen guides his hand to touch it's side and he initially flinches. But then holds it there when nothing happens to him. ]
