[For once, it isn't a video or even audio feed that Anders starts, but plain text. Things are a bit too personal right now to risk the wrong shot, and it'll be easier to keep his composure not reacting quite in real time.]
I may have imagined it, but I recall hearing somewhere recently that sometimes people here become comatose for short periods. If this is true, I would appreciate the advice of anyone familiar with these incidents. I have no way to diagnose or address complications from this state without my magic. I'm particularly worried about hydration and nutrition in an afflicted person.
And if I'm mistaken, and invented this concept in my own head, I need to know, urgently.

The best thing to do is take the person to a Pokemon Center
That way the nurses can keep an eye on them while they're out of it, or if it's NOT one of those comas and the person actually legit passed out or had a heart attack or something, they'll be able to find out and take care of it better than anybody else

It doesn't strike me as anything natural like that, but if they can help, I'll try. Thank you.
[He probably should have done that first, but... nobody ever said Anders makes rational decisions.]You've seen this before?
no subject
Lots of times
It's weird and it can be jarring but assuming it's what you and I both think it is, the person should be fine
I really only mention the nurses and the Pokemon Center as a precaution
no subject
I'd prefer to play it safe. I'll see what they have to say.
I do appreciate the reassurances.

[She's done that song and dance, hovering anxiously over someone's bed for a week waiting for them to wake up... not fun. OR useful.]
And no problem.
This place has some weird quirks-- they take awhile to get used to
irrelevant but i happened upon ur cr chart and i adore how u wrote it
I would rather it be me.
[That's kind of impossible, though. Thanks, space llama.]And here I thought I had adjusted quite nicely. Are there any other nasty surprises I should be aware of?
Aw thank you!!! I ... REALLY need to get back to work on it, it's already out of date...
The FORTUNATE part is that they're not always nasty
This is one that's... stressful, but not usually catastrophic in the long run
You friend, uh... might wake up with more memories from home than they had before, though.
Just fair warning.
text;
Are they sick? I was out for a day or two straight not too long ago.
no subject
This is approaching day three. It isn't like any sickness I've seen, and it certainly isn't exhaustion.
Are you alright?
no subject
...They're alive though, right?
no subject
I'm glad you're recovered, mostly. Drink and eat well and you should feel up to par soon.
Yes. Breathing, but unresponsive.
no subject
[Is never a good sign, is it?]
Who is it?
no subject
My companion, Hawke.
If this is in fact what others have experienced, it isn't the most worrisome thing I've seen her endure, but it caught me off guard. I didn't expect anything like this here.
no subject
Wait, hold on. She doesn't have an Arcanine, does she??
no subject
That would be Dog Two, yes. He's here with us.
[Text]
I'm gonna guess you've found out the hard way?
no subject
It would seem so.
I can hardly imagine this being commonplace. These people made full recoveries?
no subject
I had it happen once, years ago. Wasn't even that restful.
no subject
I'm relieved to hear there aren't lasting repercussions, at the very least.
Is there anything you would recommend I do to help when she wakes? Anything that troubled you in that time?
no subject
no subject
In a word, dangerous. But she is hardy.
[Though that's a whole new beast he hadn't considered...]If something happened, would she still wake up?
no subject
[he'll be good and not suggest percussive maintenance, what works on Sion doesn't work on everyone after all]
no subject
A little like when we first arrived, then.
But her memories of here will stay the same?
no subject
no subject
I see. Thank you for the help.
no subject
No problem. Here's hoping everything goes fine for her back home.
voice;
[voice]
What do you mean by "back home?"
video; he's not expecting video in return
[Jean doesn't know anything about weeklong comas, but he'll be good for doing something with Cool Uncle Anders to keep his mind off things.]
[he'll get voice at least]
Thank you, Jean. We've moved to the Center on One Island for now. There isn't much else to be done but wait.
I don't want to leave her. You're welcome to come by, but please don't feel obligated.
[awwww affection!]
Do you need anything? I can get you a masalada or whatever on my way over.
jean deserves only the best

I'm not hungry. [Jean you wouldn't argue with a man this stressed would you]
no subject
[And Jean gets it, he really does. He had to force himself to eat for a few days after Trost, when everything had tasted like ashes in his mouth. He's not going to badger Anders to eat if he doesn't want to, but he's also going to make sure that if he changes his mind, the opportunity is there.]
I'll be over in about an hour. Uh... I'll try to leave Blitz at home, but he'll probably come with me.
[Doucheballs gonna douche and all that.]
See you soon.
no subject
[So there's that "favor" that could be done, but they're grown Pokemon, they don't need a chaperone. Probably. Just set them loose on the island nothing could possibly go wrong or get short-circuited.]
no subject
[Well, they're at a Pokemon Center, so if anyone gets knocked out, it'll be easy to wake them back up.]
[Jean arrives at the center about an hour later, laden down with a basket full of food, Pokemon candy, a book from Armin that Anders might like, and a stuffed Delcatty. He knows how much Anders loves his starter and how little she likes cuddling, so maybe a stuffed one will make him feel better? Jean will never tell if a grown man needs to cuddle a stuffed kitty when he's having a bad day.]
Hi.
[Blitz rolls right up to Trixie--he was promised play, now let's go outside and cause problems--while Jean sets his basket down and goes for the move he contemplated all the way here: he walks right up to Anders and hugs him. Jean hopes it isn't too forward, but he remembers how Anders hugged him at the party, and if anyone needs a hug right now, it's his friend.]
You look like shit.
