A few of us ended up stationed near Wall Rose not too long after that on standby. _{[In civilian clothes. Without gear. Bertolt still doesn't understand why, but it isn't as if there were any superior officers showing up for him to actually ask.

Things had more or less gone to shit after that too. Titans inside the walls, Utgard, him... It was a mess, and Bertolt still wakes up in a cold sweat at night when his dreams shift into nightmares about that night in the castle.]}

...But, uh... Usually people end up appearing in one of the smaller towns. I was picked up by some of the others when I first got here. And I haven't seen Reiner at all since I was, uh... Back "home". _{[He'd be lying if he said he wasn't hoping each day that he'd show up.

[ Coerthas can't have undergone so dramatic a change a second time without another Calamity, but Emmanellain's surroundings are completely unfamiliar. Certainly not Camp Dragonhead.

Wandering, he encounters all manner of strange beastkin, and vilekin, none of them the creatures commonly found roaming the highlands — and eventually he comes upon Haurchefant's camp and his menagerie.

[ Jinx is instantly blushing, and she does feel nice and warm and softer then usual. But more importantly her power potential is pretty damn high.]

[He doesn't know because it hasn't happened yet. There's no way to know if his mom is okay or if Fumi made it out of that whole mess. There's a weird thing with time here. Like that kid Josuke who was from 1999. His uncle... that's still weird and he never got a chance to figure that one out.]

I see... [What should he do? Tell the truth? He doesn't want Josefumi to feel guilty about anything. So...]

You didn't hold me up. My mistake... Time can be a little weird here. I've been here for a while, is all. But I really did know you'd come some day. So I've been preparing. [He's going to focus on the now so not to worry his friend. They're here together now so it's all going to be okay. There will be a time and place to talk about everything. For now, he digs in his pack and pulls out a journal.] I have been taking notes about everything that's been happening here. And I've also been documenting all the creatures too. We have devices that do that but I also wanted a document by my own hand.

The girl behind me is Lapras. She's an endangered species. And that guy on your shoulder is Butterfree. And I have a whole bunch more. There's lots of living plants that I think you'd be really interested in so I haven't caught any myself. Though I found a fairly rare guy that I've been intending to give you. He's a turtle. But when he gets bigger he just has a huge living tree on his back. I can show you... [He passes both journals to Josefumi and his starter guide which will fill in all the gaps that he's clearly failing to mention to his friend. And he whips out his pokegear. Blue and white and not as great as his smart phone but it gets the job done.] Here. Torterra. He'll grow up into that. Oh. Which reminds me... where's your starter? And all your stuff. [And why is Fumi out here near Goldenrod and not at the appropriate drop off points? That's pretty weird, right?

It's unfortunately slowly clicking together. This is temporary. But he'll continue to eat that denial just a bit longer.]

Huh. A five. Maybe a six.

[She lets go and looks at Jinx.]

You are alot stronger than you look.

I...what?

[Then she recovers and puffs out her chest proud.]

Well of course! I've been training for years after all.

Where... where did you get those?

[ Contrary to her, Annie keeps telling herself that she could use less familiar faces showing up right now. It's weird. But well, it really doesn't look like Krista knows about whatever happens on her side of things back home... Or if she does, she is really good at hiding it. Not that she'd be the first one of their class to hide things from others. ]

Shouldn't proving people wrong be intentional... [ That one's not but well if she's taking it as some kind of a humour... Not Annie's problem. ] What do you want?

[He smirks at her mischeviously.]

Well, we exist to cause chaos. The world is so boring when there isn't something happening, so why not make things happen?

[He might be lying again. He might not be. It's hard to tell, but there is a mischievous look in his eyes.]

... I mean. At least your power is.

Vehicles are kind of rare around here. You get used to it.

[He nods, up the path.] That way. Haunter will keep its distance from your photo, I promise you.

[There's something he's not telling him. Kira might be difficult to read at the best of times but Josefumi's developed a special skill for it over the time they've lived together and he knows immediately that something is up. A few seconds pass in which all he can do is watch him with doubtful eyes- and then he shakes his head. What's the point in getting hung up on it? He trusts him and, if there is more to this than a misunderstanding, he knows that he'll tell him in time, when they're both ready.

Besides, he'd rather focus on the moment- particularly when there's so much packed into it to take in. Eyes wide, Josefumi looks from creature to creature as they're introduced, repeating their names carefully.]

Lapras... Butterfree... [He puts a tentative hand to Lapras' head, peering at the swirl of her ears and the blunt horn between them with almost childlike curiosity. Next, he glances at the bug on his shoulder. The more he's around it- him?- the less he's bothered by its unusual size and, after some head tilting and light pets, he smiles.] ... you're kind of cute, actually.

[But Kira's already moving on and, the next time he glances over at him, he's gripping a journal and a little device not unlike a slightly clunkier smartphone, and holding the latter out.]

A turtle that turns into a big turtle with a tree on its back...? [Though he sounds dubious at first, he's quickly silenced by the picture that flashes up on screen. Well. Would you look at that. A big turtle with a tree on its back.] Wait- you're gonna have to slow down a little. Are they like... monsters or animals or what? And what's a starter?

[And she's right back to adorable indignation.]

And what's that supposed to mean?

[She gives the tiny girl a condescending pat on the head.]

It's not that... It's nice to be able to see the world around me while traveling for a change.

[She's going to start walking then.] That's the first ghost I've seen here, and it listens to you?

Yeah? Did you come from somewhere with a lot of tech?

[Since there's also a lot of people who haven't...]

I wouldn't say that. This place seems close to my homeland. But I've spent the last few months living in a ship, with seven other people.

[There's a sigh. She's gone from a her own room in a mansion from the 1980s to a barracks on a space ship.]

That is pretty impressive. I wouldn't except a ghost to be so obedient.

[ So, that's why they are during that day. She looks thoughtful hearing that as if she might have a guess or two about why they'd be there besides wanting to make sure they stay alive while everything goes to hell elsewhere. ]

...So what does appearing somewhere else mean? [ Weird. Not that she'd feel any better about appearing somehow in any place when there's no way just anyone can get her out of that crystal. ] Maybe he'll show up too. [ Maybe this is like a new beginning. ]

[Annie glances at the Torchic, who looks like she likes Bert a lot more than some scary girl like Annie, please and thank you. At least it's quiet for the moment. ] I don't want it, so you can keep her too.

[ Maybe she'll see his starter too. No rush, let the dog do his sniffing before he gets here. Meanwhile she will never admit it but she likes seeing that smile while it lasts because well, at least he seems to be doing well here unlike they are back home...

And then she has to ruin it with that. ]

[ She's quiet for a long moment as if she's suddenly mute. Should she tell? Should she lie? Not that she wants to lie to those two, but some things are better to keep to herself. It would... probably be better for them if she doesn't say anything about that either. It's not like she usually speaks at all. Then again if she doesn't tell him, no one else probably won't tell him anything either and they probably should know to be careful out there... Annie swallows. ]

I... Had a little fight with a few people about what happened in that expedition...
