Sidon wouldn't let me get closer even though I wanted to.

But we saw one of those legendary Pokemon the news was talking about.

Has anyone ever tried to battle a legendary before? Or catch one?

[Attached is a picture that's clearly taken from high up in a tree of Raikou, though it's a fairly bad picture considering the lightning flash and the rain obscuring things. It probably doesn't help he was made to stay far away from the beast.

...Was the broom enchanted? Or even simply on fire? They build them so flimsy these days, any decently tough hide would break them...

Enchanted broom??

No it was just one that a Moblin had been using in a fight and I picked it up since I was out of weapons.

Do you have enchanted brooms where you're from???

Well, I've never actually heard of one, but surely enchanting a broom with fire magic cannot be much more difficult than enchanting a sword. Does your world have many monsters that are... interested in housekeeping? It's not what I'd choose as an emergency weapon, but if it's so easily available...

No, Moblins just raid villages then use whatever they find as weapons. So once I kill them I just pick their weapons up.

I'd say it's a shame they've nothing more useful to offer, but it would be unkind to wish for them to steal more valuable items. Especially if it makes them more difficult to defeat.

Oh it just depends on where you are as to what they have. I get a lot of really good swords, spears and bows from them sometimes!

That sounds much more helpful, if you are talented enough to steal them. Does wielding a sword instead of a broom make them more challenging opponents, or do they not know how to properly use them?

Some of them can be harder to deal with. They tend to be stronger and more skilled. But once you figure out the trick to beating them, it can be pretty easy.

There's a specific trick to it? A weakness they all share, a defense they cannot pierce...?

Something like that.
Some of the boss Moblins have stronger defenses so you have to knock them off balance to create an opening. Some enemies can be taken out with specific types of arrows, others require sneak attacks.

Then there are some that you need a strong shield to knock their attack back at them with so you can destroy them in one hit.

It just takes practice.

Along with the luck necessary to survive the battles that become that practice, I've no doubt. And the space necessary to bring all those arrows and shields.

It wasn't usually a problem.

Though I did run out of arrows a lot.

And break a lot of swords.

I was constantly replacing them.

As long as you break fewer swords than you can steal while facing a group of them, it's not so bad. Though a ninja's talents would be particularly useful in such a situation.

Oh that's why I have the Sheikah clothes! They help enhance my ability to sneak around!

Is that so? Do they muffle the sounds you make, blend in with your surroundings...?

They make you almost completely silent when you move. Enemies are less likely to see you.

I can think of a thousand situations for twhich that'd be useful. The tailors who sew them must be very talented, and very rich to boot.

Though I don't see many people wearing the outfits I have back home.

Even though they're always available.

It may be that they've not been properly advertised to the general public? One cannot buy goods without being aware of their existence.

Maybe.

But most of the shop owners are pretty pushy about their goods...
