Video; Suicune no swiping

[The video switches onto very shaky, jerky footage of the inside of a tent, and then a tentflap being pushed aside with very indistinct muttering in the background.

Outside, the early light of dawn is grey in a persistent drizzle. The gear (still not completely steady) looks out over a reasonably neat camp. Smokey the Ursaring would be pleased. Their old XO would only assign twenty laps. All in all, a very normal scene.

Apart from the legendary pokemon standing in the middle of camp like it does this sort of thing every day. That is a little not normal.

Have you ever seen Suicune? Have you ever seen Suicune steal a tea kettle? You have now.

The large blue legendary pokemon lowers its muzzle to nose at the kettle, before clamping its sharp teeth around it and lifting it up.]

Ah! No! No, no.

[It drops the kettle again, staring straight into the gear. For a moment everything seems to go still, even the sound of the rain drizzling down coming to a stop. It's a moment that seems to stretch, perilously thin and then suddenly it snaps, like a bubble bursting, and Suicune bends down to clamp its teeth around the tea kettle again and then it is off with a great leap, the rain suddenly coming down again with a roar.]

Oh, definitely. I've seen what happens when you get on a Legendary's bad side.

Heck, the last time these beasts were around, it was during this outbreak of weird mutations and superpowers. Not sure if I'd say this is completely better, but at least it seems like they're not being mucked around with this time around.

[Which means Team Rocket isn't playing with powers outside their control. That's always a plus.]

Well, it's been a while, but from what I do remember, there were widespread mutations. People getting superpowers- Pokemon attacks, in a sense. Legendary Beasts started running wild...

[He pinches the bridge of his nose, grumbling a little.]

Needless to say, it was a mess. The mutations stuck around even after the powers faded, too.

sorry for the lateness. was out of town

Blotches of discolored skin, fangs, horn-like growths... Nothing as severe as when people wound up as literal Pokemon hybrids, but it was tough to miss.

[Chuckling, he rubs the top of his head.]

Kinda gave me mixed feelings, to be honest.

...If that's about the hybrids, it's exactly what it sounds like. I gained some Charizard traits myself.

[Deep breaths follow, and he holds up his hands.]

Honestly, if there's one thing I've learned in all the years I've spent here, it's that this place'll always find some weird way to surprise you. I'm not even sure how the scientists even make sense of it all.
