[The post is actually just an embedded video, with a specific clip of the little girl in the news report. As soon as she screams "HUG HIM." the clip loops.]
tbh #same
[And separately, a video post comes. Jade is casually broadcasting from her bed in the hotel it seems, a Treecko dozing on her head and a little Rockruff curled up beside her. The sound of rain and rumbles of thunder can be heard.]
Soooo has anybody seen these legendary doggers at this point? How huggable are they, exactly? And do they even look like dogs, 'cause some people I asked seem to wanna call them dogs but that seems slightly misguided!
[In fact if you asked her, there's a disappointing lack of Pokemon dogs.]

I mean, I guess they could look like dogs
but I've never seen a dog like them before.
[This call is coming from inside the house]

all i can conclude is perhaps "dogs" is meant to be interpreted in a mystical cultural way
like lion-dogs who guard palaces and stuff!
but clearly these dogs are not doing that and are only causing mischief atm
and they are certainly not as cute as bailey!!!
[Meaning her little Rockruff, because what's cuter than a Rockruff? Nothing, that's what.]

I mean, I don't think they're really cute either. Kind of scary, actually.

they are actually statues of lions but were interpreted as a mix of lions and dogs by other cultures for various reasons
like one particularly fluffy dog that is also native to the culture where the lion statues came from!
they are called chows and they are very cute and extra fluffy :)
maybe they just want us to think they're scary to avoid getting love and affection!
thats how karkat was sometimes
but no really if you are scared of them by all means do not approach them
[Text]
Also it's probably dangerous to try?
Are you planning something, Jade?

i couldnt go out in this weather anyway!
it is very tempting to try and get close to see what exactly they are like
but i think we know what happens when you try to get closer to a semi-god creature

It is actually a fact that I was not born yesterday. :B
Well, I mean, if one happens to be in your immediate area...I'm sure if you watch and don't, say, get in between one and its dinner, you should be fine.
Possibly soaked or static-y or really warm, but fine.

They look like they could be pretty huggable I guess.
I want to ride one. My Mudbray isn't big enough to ride yet. I need a mount.

yes they would make for a majestic steed imo!
but it might be hard to get on their back or even get them to go in the direction you want right?
there is also the possibility they will be somewhat miffed at getting mounted by an intrepid hero

Probably but it can't be any harder than Lynels back home. Or the Lord of the Mountain.
True. It probably wouldn't be a permanent mount but it would still be amazing!

Are you going to try hugging them, Jade?
If you are
do you think I could help
maybe
