--will you knock it off?!

[The video cuts up in the middle of Vanitas's yelling, the sounds of a fighting a little louder than he is, though. His 'gear is sitting sideways in the snow where it fell out of his jacket while the young man himself is busy trying to keeping a small red and white fluff ball away from a very large Seviper.

Scrapper the Houndoom lunges into the frame and tackles the massive snake, flames engulfing the Seviper as the two start to battle it out. Taking his chance to get away from the fight for a moment, Vanitas manages to get the terrified bundle of fur--that's definitely a small Zangoose--into his jacket, zipping the Pokemon in for protection.

The 'gear is lifted then and there's some high pitched squeaking from Toppler the Swoobat. Vanitas looks over and frowns, making his way over to grab the 'gear--

Just as Scrapper and the Seviper slam into him, sending him falling into the 'gear and his Swoobat.]

[The video goes dead after that and about fifteen minutes later a text message would appear in lieu of another video.]

What the hell is up with Zangoose and Seviper?!

..Yeah, we're fine. Red Hot doesn't seem to be hurt or anything.

[With the video on, Riku will be able to see Vanitas's jacket shift and then suddenly a red and white head pops out as the Zangoose peers at the 'gear.]

Just spooked, that's all.

[...It's so tiny. Kinda adorable, too, but he mustn't make it too clear that he finds this adorable. So he looks away for a second. Composure, Riku. Don't be too soft.]

Well, can't blame it. Still, that's one small Zangoose. Usually they're around the size of a kid...

[But it could just be a baby. Could also just be small for other reasons. Ven's Pikachu was certainly tiny.]

Kinda surprising you went for a Pokemon like that, not that it's a bad thing.

I know. I'm pretty sure it got separated from it's parents or something.

[For a moment, just a moment, there's something soft to Vani's voice as he looks down at the Zangoose and ruffles her ears--

But then the moment passes as he catches himself and eyes Riku.]

What the hell is that suppose to mean?

[He tries not to laugh, but whoops, there's a small snicker. Way to go, Riku.]

I never pegged you as a softy.

I am not a softy! I just don't like seeing Pokemon get beat up for no reason!

[Ironic considering he's apart of Team Rocket but, well...he might be taking some issue with them as of late.]

But, see, that just proves there's just a tiny bit of light inside you.

[He really shouldn't tease too much, but... heh. Some habits die hard, and without Sora around, the main object of his snark's not around.

But eh, he'll drop it after this. Best not to poke the bear, so to speak.]

[Hey, he's not denying the light bit!

The Zangoose let's out a quiet noise, reaching out to try and bat at the 'gear as her ear go back which gets a snort out of Vanitas.]

See? Even she wants you to shut up.

Pff. Okay, fine. You win this round.

[He even holds up his hands in defeat.]

Still, wonder if it'd be worth trying to find her family. Not to release or anything, but just in case her mom's still trying to hunt down a missing... I'd say pup, but that's probably not accurate for a mongoose.

[Vanitas frowns, glancing down at Red Hot.]

...I guess I could look around since I'm here.

It's just a thought. Honestly, I normally wouldn't have thought about it, but since she is so small...

[He pauses. Come to think of it...]

Wonder how often the families of Pokemon we catch worry.

[They probably expect it on some level, but dang.]

...Okay now you're thinking too much about this. Knock it off.

Man, if there's one thing you should know about me, it's that I'm prone to chronic overthinking.

[He snickers, waving one of his hands.]

Guess that's what sets me apart from dorks like Sora and Ven.
