House crashing
Who Ceilidh, Sion and Ryner
Where Sion and Ryner's house.
When Lunchtime
Summary Ceilidh invited herself over and is letting herself in.
Note Closed.
After talking to Rose, Ceilidh made her way to Sion and Ryner's place. No humans were home but that didn't really matter to much to her. Picking locks and breaking into places was relatively easy for Ceilidh. She'd learned how to pick them starting when she was four. It was a family game to lock someone up in a room and see how long it took for them to break out. When she learned that other families didn't do that, she'd been quite bewildered. Lock picks were pretty easy to make. They weren't the best lock picks, but they were ... decent.
The lack of security surprised her, no wards, no horseshoe above the door at the very least. Which was good - she wasn't that good at breaking through wards.
With Pickles playing watch, she hummed quietly to herself as she picked the front door's lock.

"Though, I'm still rather curious how you got in here..." he added to Ceilidh.

Looking over at Sion she said, "Just invited us inside." The word invited is slightly stressed by her. She was allowed in. If Just had said she couldn't come in, she would have waited on the doorstep.

Rose tugged at Ryner's pant leg a little, and he didn't even have to look down to know that he was looking up at him adorably, in that way she did when if he made the wrong choice she had electricity ready and waiting. If Rose was eager for him to stay, even for something Marian was involved in...
"...Ahh, well, if you insist, I guess I can stick around for pie," he relented with a sigh. At least he couldn't disapprove of the idea of dessert.
no subject
"Of course you can!" he said cheekily, and went to pull the table out of its corner and set it up.
no subject
She set the pie onto the table with a dramatic flourish as if presenting the princess with a crown. Perhaps a curtsy or a bow would also be appropriate but... fuck that shit.
A very serious look is given to Ryner as if daring him to disagree with her.
no subject
And so he took his seat, as casually as he usually would. If this was a friend of Sion's in this world, there was no reason to be formal, after all.
no subject
"Though, do we get to know what sort of pie it is, at least?" he asked, just the hint of teasing in his tone.
no subject
At some point while baking, she'd taking off her shoes and been running around in her socks.
"A plate for you, and you and me and you get to cut because it's your pie." A knife is flipped, caught and then offered to Sion.
no subject
Ceilidh's last proclamation earned a slight chuckle from him, though.
"What if I decide to cut only small pieces for everyone but myself?" he remarked as he took the knife. Not that he'd do such a thing, of course.
(And not that he didn't notice the flourish with which Ceilidh had handled and passed the blade, either, though of course Sion wasn't about to comment on that.)
no subject
It's said with a grin before sitting down across from him. The flourish was done completely unconsciously, as if that's how she normally handles a knife not that she was showing off.
If anyone mentioned it to her she'd give them a blank stare.
no subject
Despite the remark, though, he cut the pie quite precisely into several equally-sized pieces. Just large enough that one piece would be enough for someone who didn't want to overdo it, but small enough that a second slice wouldn't be too much, either.
no subject
Her attention is slightly distracted by the even cutting that Sion is doing. Which is pretty talented. Her family is pretty good at cutting things and dividing circles is pretty important, but she's never seen someone do it so well by eye.
Except Adrian. But that's Adrian.
no subject
"Oh? Even though you said this was a surprise for us?" he teased as he started lifting pieces out onto the plates.

There's a hint of bitterness in her voice at that.
Just a wee bit.
On the other hand, the pie is really good. Not the most amazing thing ever but it's pretty good pie.
no subject
"Speaking from experience, I take it?" He raised an eyebrow.
no subject
She snorted softly, "You could say that." A stab at the pie. "He's a good guy, and everything, but... I'd really wanted to see that episode and was the ooooonly one who didn't see it the next day school."
Not completely true, but it felt like it to ten year old Ceilidh.
no subject
"I'll have to take your word for it," Sion replied. "We don't have tvs in my world, so I'm afraid I've never been in that sort of situation..."
no subject
"Well, it's sort of like everyone you know got to go the circus and see the most awesome of awesomest shows ever and you were going to go too but then you had to go and do chores instead and the circus left the next day so you couldn't go and see it and everyone at school was talking about it the next day."
She waved her fork around a bit overly dramatically as she spoke, flinging a bit of pie across the table as she did so.
