House crashing

Who Ceilidh, Sion and Ryner
Where Sion and Ryner's house.
When Lunchtime
Summary Ceilidh invited herself over and is letting herself in.
Note Closed.

After talking to Rose, Ceilidh made her way to Sion and Ryner's place. No humans were home but that didn't really matter to much to her. Picking locks and breaking into places was relatively easy for Ceilidh. She'd learned how to pick them starting when she was four. It was a family game to lock someone up in a room and see how long it took for them to break out. When she learned that other families didn't do that, she'd been quite bewildered. Lock picks were pretty easy to make. They weren't the best lock picks, but they were ... decent.

The lack of security surprised her, no wards, no horseshoe above the door at the very least. Which was good - she wasn't that good at breaking through wards.

With Pickles playing watch, she hummed quietly to herself as she picked the front door's lock.

Somehow he doubted it was an explicit invitation...

Rose tugged at Ryner's pant leg a little, and he didn't even have to look down to know that he was looking up at him adorably, in that way she did when if he made the wrong choice she had electricity ready and waiting. If Rose was eager for him to stay, even for something Marian was involved in...

"...Ahh, well, if you insist, I guess I can stick around for pie," he relented with a sigh. At least he couldn't disapprove of the idea of dessert.

Sion gave Just a glance at that, himself, but the lucario (who was, of course, failing at appearing nonchalant and watching everything intently) simply shrugged. Sion suppressed a sigh and turned back to the conversation at hand, smirking at Ryner.

"Of course you can!" he said cheekily, and went to pull the table out of its corner and set it up.

As if instinctively, his hands went upward in surrender. "Okay, okay, I'll have pie."

And so he took his seat, as casually as he usually would. If this was a friend of Sion's in this world, there was no reason to be formal, after all.

Sion looked smug at Ryner giving in, though there might have been just a hint of fondness to it, too. He took a seat himself, glancing over at Ceilidh as he did so.

"Though, do we get to know what sort of pie it is, at least?" he asked, just the hint of teasing in his tone.

"Did she, now..." Sion said with a raised eyebrow and brief glance to the kitchen, but there was no need to drag the yamask into the conversation. Especially since Marian was just as likely to insert herself if she felt a reason to anyway, in Sion's experience.

Ceilidh's last proclamation earned a slight chuckle from him, though.

"What if I decide to cut only small pieces for everyone but myself?" he remarked as he took the knife. Not that he'd do such a thing, of course.

(And not that he didn't notice the flourish with which Ceilidh had handled and passed the blade, either, though of course Sion wasn't about to comment on that.)

"Oh? But that still means you would have taken my piece without asking, and I'd certainly notice if I had the wrong size piece on my own plate..."

Despite the remark, though, he cut the pie quite precisely into several equally-sized pieces. Just large enough that one piece would be enough for someone who didn't want to overdo it, but small enough that a second slice wouldn't be too much, either.

Sion raised an eyebrow.

"Oh? Even though you said this was a surprise for us?" he teased as he started lifting pieces out onto the plates.

"Ah, but would you expect to be invited in if you were planning a bad one?" Sion responded. Pie now cut into several equal slices, he passed one to each person at the table.

"That wouldn't be a good way to ensure another invitation in the future, though," Sion pointed out, then had a bite of his pie.

Sion's certainly not a pie connoisseur, but it's decent enough, yes.

"Speaking from experience, I take it?" He raised an eyebrow.

Perhaps for the best; Sion's never been much into fancy food and probably wouldn't appreciate the really nice stuff as much as some people would.

"I'll have to take your word for it," Sion replied. "We don't have tvs in my world, so I'm afraid I've never been in that sort of situation..."
