[The 'Gear settles on Rakka's face for a moment, smiling brightly, before it jumps to an end-table presumably in her room. Sitting on it is Rakka's contest trophy.]

I still can't really believe we won, right Kaen?

[The screen turns to her bed. Nestled in her sheets, having a relaxing snooze, was Kaen. He's young, after all, and he has a very busy time of it last week.]

I wanted to thank everyone who came to see us again- oh, and all my friends of course! And Penny! [Yes she gets her own callout.] We trained really hard just to get it all right, and I guess it really paid off if so many people wanted to vote for us.

[She flips the screen back to her face, already looking a little misty-eyed again, but she's holding it in. Mostly.]

Also... I was just wondering, since it's coming up soon. What is it that you like to do on your birthday? Maybe anything special, or anything at all. I always think it'll be easy to come up with ideas for it, but-

[A small yawn off-screen diverts Rakka's attention for just a moment.] ...Oh. Hehe, sorry Kaen. I'll stop now. But, uh! Please get back to me if you can think of anything!

[One last smirk before the feed turns off.]

...I'm glad you're here too, Rakka. You and Penny. This...would be a pretty sad place without friends to rely on.

All of us being here is what makes this place so great, isn't it? We help each other, and we'll always be there for one another.

I think I've really learned a lot from the people I've met here. It's almost like my new home.

Aha... it's funny because this is probably the second time this has happened to me. I-I guess I'm getting good at it.

Dude, Birthdays are the best! You can do whatever you want that normally you wouldn't do because you're behaving yourself. Like skipping school, or eating a whole pizza by yourself! Or spending the entire day playing fully immersive VR games till you lose your grip on what is reality and what is fantasy!!!

[This is probably because until a year ago she didn't have any friends.]

Last year the Vault Hunters somehow made me a cake out of cupcakes...I have no idea which of them knows how to bake but they actually tasted decent! Then we went out and had to fight off a bunch of raiders who wanted some of my cupcakes. There was SO MUCH BLOOD!

You should totally try it! There's nothing more satisfying then punching some jackass in the face because he was trying to hurt you and your friends!

You're kinda smaller so I'm thinking you'd probably be a rifle girl. Something you could brace with both arms.

I... don't think I've ever held a rifle before, or... punched anyone in the face. I've never really been in any big fights in my life.

Uhh...! [Really... unsure about that!] I'm really not sure about it. Honestly, I don't even really do pokemon fights aside from the gym battles. If I get into any really big fights, I'm not sure how well I'd do...

Oh sure! There were always people trying to kill ya back on Pandora. Like every friggin day I had to blow some jerks face off or send my robot to smash em up.

That's probably for the best. If you don't know how to fight, you're totally gonna get flattened on Pandora.

If you want though I'll teach ya how to fight. I don't have any guns but I'm scrappy as fuuuuck and I have some really tough friends and pokemon to help.

I just love to curl up in a comfy armchair with my new books! I always get at least one new book for my birthday from someone and it's just wonderful to lose myself in it for a few hours or even a whole day.

Ohh, you like books too? I've been reading so many fantastic ones since I first got here. I think the shelf in my room is full to bursting by now.

Oh you'll have to recommend some to me! I haven't been here too long, and all I've been reading lately have been text books and journals on pokemon and breeding. It'd be fascinating to read something fictional from here when I have time and see the differences between writing styles from here and home.

Oh, really? I can definitely recommend a few! Like "The Wind in the Wingulls". O-or "Lord of the Beautiflies" and "The Fault in our Starmies"?

The movies around here are pretty interesting! They almost always have to do with Pokemon, but they still have all the usual genres too.

I have to chose? There's just so many kinds out there! I don't think I've even tried all the types at the bakery I work at.

Yes, that's right! All the movies around here involve Pokemon, but they're still really entertaining. [Something about that catches her though.] Once you've been here long enough, you start to get used to the Pokemon names for things.

There are a ton of different kinds, aren't there? I like chocolate, but I also like cream and fruit. I've got a hollow leg for sweets!

Haha, yeah! I actually think it's pretty funny... I've got a friend that works at Starmiebucks, and it's just like Starbucks from back home. And I think I saw something about a new Zubatman movie coming out!

Hehe, a hollow leg? If I still had them I might have hollow wings myself!

Y-yeah! I've heard about that too! and I watched a movie called Ghastlybusters and a friend from another world said it was like something named Ghostbusters!

Yeah! That's a famous American movie-- Did they catch ghosts with those weird vacuum-cleaner backpack machines?

Oh, well you see I used to have wings back where I came from. They were like bird wings that came out of my back! [She maneuvers the gear so it briefly shows her back... no wings, of course.] I don't have them here though, of course.

Yeah! They catch them in special vacuum-cleaners designed to catch a ton of ghost pokemon!

No way! That's so cool! [Kazuki's eyes widen in awe.] How big were they? Could you fly like a bird?

Uhh, that's the thing. They weren't very big, and I couldn't fly at all with them.

Aww. That's too bad! Still, even little wings would be really cute. As long as they didn't get in the way.

Having them did mean I had to have holes sewn into all my shirts for them. It's actually kind of nice not having to do that now!

Ohh, yeah! I guess you would have to do that! And then you gotta fit them through somehow... I was just thinking of how cool it would be.
