[The video coming on is somewhat accidental. Whoever is fumbling with it was clearly trying to get it out of wherever it was--a pocket? A bag?--and they must have flipped it on in the process. After a few seconds they manage to get it out of wherever it was stuck and the video goes a bit crazy as the ‘gear clatters to the ground.

A soft glow illuminates the room briefly as a Minior comes into view, the red little star Pokemon smiling dumbly at the screen before it’s suddenly grabbed--well, more like hugged, actually, as a little girl comes into view.]

Did it break, Little Dipper? Oh, hey, I think it’s recording--hi everyone that can see this!!

[Mabel grins and picks her ‘gear up with her free hand, her Minior currently tucked underneath her other arm and looking rather pleased about it.]

I’m Mabel and this is Little Dipper! Oh and this is my brother Dipper!

[Cue her turning the camera on her brother.]

Dipper say hi!

[There’s a boy in the background, with a Phantump floating next to him. They seem to be studying where they are. At least they were, before Dipper turns to see the gear pointed at him.]

Mabel! What are you doing? No one needs to see this!

Don’t be such a spoilsport, Dipper! It’s just a new adventure!

[Under her arm, Little Dipper thrummed though whether it was in agreement or just because he could was hard to say.]

Plus we can’t be the first people to end up here…

[By now it should be clear that they are in a jail cell. Dipper folds his arms]

For trying to steal an old ladies kittens? Or should I say, accessory to SOMEONE trying to make off with a bunch of kittens?

If you had helped we totally could have gotten away but noooo!

You shouldn’t have been doing it in the first place! Now we have to break out of jail! ...uh...ignore that last part people ….. I meant serve our time….

[Whispers to Mabel.]

I really think you should stop broadcasting this now….

[Insert a snort from Mabel as she turns the ‘gear back on herself properly and playfully rolls her eyes.]

Don’t mind him! He’s just nervous because the Jenny ladies said we have to stay here for a few days. Anyway, maybe someone out there watching knows how we can get out of here, Dipper! Did you ever think of that??

[Cue her sticking her tongue out as Little Dipper thrums again.]

Yeah and their advice is probably going to be, you got arrested, do your time.

[Meanwhile his own pokemon is examining the bars and lock. Dipper is just going to move to hide the pokemon from the view of the gear.]

Maybe, maybe not! Only one way to find out! [A pause as she looks over at them and narrows her eyes, slowly grinning.] What’s Crafty doing?

Uh...nothing...nothing...just um looking around! Right Crafty?

[The Phantump looks over and nods...very normal]

...You two are trying to break out aren’t you??

Mabel turn the gear off!

Oh you are so going to break us out of here! Go Crafty go! You can do it!

Mabel!

[There is a sudden child scramble for the gear and in the chaos it gets turned off.]

Wait wait wait...you guys got arrested for stealing kittens...

...and now you're plotting to bust out?

That is either the most metal or least metal thing I've ever heard and I don't know which.

[Mabel looks thoughtful for a half a second before grinning.]

[She winks, doing fingerguns like she did to Jean.]

It's obviously the first one, duh.

[She fingerguns right back showing off her metal arm.]

Well once you're out make sure you keep moving! Those Officer Jenny girls don't mess around. One time I got chased for like three towns because of a little breaking and entering. It's like every time I turned around this one Jenny and her Growlith was there! So I did some community service.

[Mabel lets out a loud gasp.]

YOU HAVE A ROBOT ARM! That is so weird! Are you half robot or something? Did you lose your arm in a robot war? Does it do any cool tricks?

[Sorry she's thoroughly distracted.]

[She beams because she LOVES getting that reaction. Stepping back from the camera she holds it up flexing and showing off the dexterity of her fingers.]

NAH! If anything I'm gonna WIN the robot war. I was designing this super awesome robot for my school science fair and I needed a way to digistruct him into existence and control him easily. The rod I was using was too bulky and weird and it didn't look cool. Then like I got this cut on my arm while working with the power saw and I was like BOOM! Problem solved! I chopped off my arm and created the perfect robot arm to control my new robot buddy! I mean there was a ton of blood and my dad totally freaked out but like...totally worth it!

This is actually like my fifth arm. The ones I make here aren't as durable as the one I had back home.

You just..chopped your arm off so you could control your robot????

[Okay that's a little crazy. And a little cool. Mostly crazy.

I wasn't trying to steal any of them. Besides at that point Mabel had all of them shoved into her sweater and we were running.

Then again it's not like focusing on running away worked all that well for ya. Gotta get faster little dude.

What's with the interrogation? I'm Dipper Pines, I like solving mysteries, exploring the unknown, the paranormal and the strange.

And jail or not. This place is awesome! I got a ghost when I woke up here! Back home it would take hours of searching to find a monster and half the time it would just a gnome and most of the ghosts were either annoying or trying to kill you....or both.

Dude haven't you ever played one of these games before? You gotta get as much info as you can sometimes!

Also, you sound like an awesome little dude! Where were kids like you when I was that short? I had to freaking go off world to another planet to find anyone who liked paranormal and strange stuff!

I wish I knew, the only other kid my age who even listened to my ideas on monsters and the paranormal was my sister.

[And half the time she made fun of him. Though Gravity Falls had changed that....somewhat.]

Uh huh! Space travel is pretty common where I came from...though the planet I landed on wasn't exactly up to that level of tech yet. Like any spaceship coming off Pandora better have a full time mechanic or a Mechromancer on board or you'll be lucky to make it to the moon in one piece.

Those kids were clearly lame. Monsters are awesome.

[Says the girl who has spent more time fighting and killing them then just about anything.]

I know! They have no idea what they're missing out on. I don't know why more people aren't interested in this sort of thing.

Because it's way too easy to take comfort in the mundane. People don't like to feel like they are out of control and that they don't understand things. And most humans are too dumb to really wrap their brains around the more complex and important things in life! So it's best to pretend it doesn't exist.

Except I don't believe in that crap. I like to understand it ALL and if I don't? Then great! More anarchy and chaos to go around! That's the fastest way to smash the system!

Well at least you won't be alone in this world. Other then a few very specific mysteries people seem to want to ignore, the trainers around here love learning new stuff.

But like...if you ever figure out where the meat comes from in the burgers and stuff let me know because people keep telling me you can't eat pokemon...
