[It's been a while since Shiro made a video post. A really long time. And, it's likely, this one was meant to be something informative. Like his usual posts are. Or something trying to ask a question.]

[Literally anything but what shows up.]

[What shows up is a Furret. Wrapped liberally around someone's head like some kind of sentient scarf. It's... sort of unclear who exactly this is, except for the eyes peering through the Furret's coils.]

[One of them is twitching.]

[This probably wouldn't be recorded if it weren't for Shiro's Gallade, who takes this opportunity to peek on camera, laughing and pointing. Can you get a load of this? Blue seems to ask. He's so busy giggling, he doesn't notice his trainer starting to firmly (and gently) unwind the creature from around his face. Attempting to set it down. He gets one loop off, another tightens up. ... None of them are aware of the yellow eyes watching from a nearby tree.]

[Finally, Shiro manages to get it off, trying to st it on the ground yet again. The Furret just jumps back up. Wraps around his face.]

[And Shiro's yell of frustration is muffled by the very, very pleased Furret coils.]

Woah, what's-- Hey Shiro, watch your back!

[It's hard to turn around when you have a Furret attached to your face. It's even harder when you're on the ground. Did you know that, Kazuki?]

[Fortunately, what hops out of the bushes really isn't that threatening.]

[... or it wouldn't be. If both the Furret and Shiro are suddenly yelling.]

[He does know what it's like! He's woken up many many times gasping for breath because Maestra had decided to cuddle in the middle of the night. She's as slippery as a snake when she wants to be.]

Aww, it's a Noibat! It's so cu-- wait, why are you screaming?

[It's purple and has yellow eyes, man. That's a Problem when you don't expect it. Plus, you know. Being restrained by something...]

[It's just one big bag of awful.]

[The poor Noibat looks baffled, though.]

Shiro? Are you okay?

[That yell sounded genuinely distressed. Kazuki doesn't know about Galra or why Shiro would be afraid of a purple thing with yellow eyes. Maybe he was just surprised?]

Don't worry! It's just a little Noibat!

[Blue the Gallade looks baffled too, honestly. He's only been kind of sort of around for the nightmares, and Haunter doesn't tend to gossip.]

[The Furret is squeezing. Which really doesn't make any of this easier. So not only is he startled and alarmed, but now it's more difficult to breathe.]

[So no. He's not really okay.]

[Oh gosh. Should he do something now? This is beginning to look serious! Kazuki waffles for a second, then releases Honky Tonk from his Pokeball.]

Honky Tonk! Use Sing over the communicator, okay?

[The Primarina looks confused, but he never refuses a command from Kazuki. He placed his Gear on the ground, and then plugged his ears so he wouldn't fall asleep on accident. Honky Tonk is an excellent singer, so hopefully it will still work over a speaker.]

[Any other encounter, any other day, running into a Noibat would be startling, but not a big deal. However, when there's another pokemon wrapped around your face, obscuring your breathing? The adrenaline kind of goes insane. Your brain jumps to conclusions and you stop thinking completely rationally.]

[... fortunately, Sing does work over a communicator.]

[Unfortunately, it means all three pokemon drop off asleep. Including Shiro's Gallade. So the camera crashes to the ground.]

[Then it's quiet.]

Ack-- I'm sorry, Blue! Honky Tonk, you're really too good at that.

[The Primarina gives a slightly bewildered shrug. What did you expect? Singing is all I do!]

They'll wake up eventually, I guess... Shiro? Shiro, are you okay?

[No real harm done, no one's hurt.]

[There's a very long pause before anyone answers. But hey, it's most likely because disentangling a mass of unconscious Furret from your head takes time.]

[Stupid weasel.]

... Hey. I'm fine. Sorry about -- all of this.

It's okay! Sorry about putting your Pokemon to sleep, I didn't really know what else to do... Are you sure you're okay? Are you afraid of bats or something?

Don't worry about that. Blue probably needed a nap.

[Are you afraid of bats? Oh man. That's such an easy out...]

I didn't think it was just a pokemon -- guess the... lack of oxygen was messing with me. [MOVING ON:] Do you know what it is?

The Noibat? Or the Furret?

How about both?

[Talking about the pokemon is infinitely preferable to trying to explain what just happened.]

...Are you really sure you're okay? Did you hit your head on the way down?

[Shiro's a smart guy. Smarter than this.]

Maybe I did.

But, honestly, I've never run into either of them.

Oh! Well, I've had a Furret for a long time, and they're big snugglers. Like literally big. Maestra is more than 6 feet long-- she's taller than me when she stands!

I don't know much about Noibat, but I've seen the ones other trainers keep. I think they're pretty cute! I'm pretty sure they can echolocate like regular bats can. Their ears are kind shaped like speakers.

Know of anyone who's looking for either one of these guys?

Not that I know of! But that Furret has to have a trainer-- They're super fast and quick to run from danger, so if it was so comfortable with you they must be used to humans.

Is there a way to tell if a Pokemon belongs to someone? Like a microchip or something? Would they know at the Pokemon Center?

[... Shiro just. Looks like Kazuki suggested he do something unspeakable.]

The only way is if you use a pokeball. And it refuses to catch them.

[Guess what his ball didn't do.]

[What??? What????? That's what you do back home! It's just a little chip! Otherwise the pound might think your cat is stray!]

Oh, so you already tried? Huh! And there's no one around looking for it? It's kind of hard to not miss something as big as a Furret!

Yeah, I tried.

It's mine now, apparently.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh. Huh! That's really strange! I wonder if someone released it recently-- it was so friendly!
