[It's weird knowing that she left and came back to this place. Having memories from before but also having new memories from home when she woke up in an unfamiliar bed greeted by 'Mom'. It didn't take long for Mabel to put together what was going on, though, especially once she found herself bonked in the head by a very excited red Minior.

Once outside the house she'd immediately reached for her 'gear and her Pokeballs--

Only to find the latter empty.

Thus, the frown she's wearing as she comes over the network, eyes narrowed which just makes her look even more haggard despite the state she's already in.]

Two questions.

[She holds up a finger as Little Dipper be-bops around in the background.]

One, are my Grunkles and brother still here? And two--

[Another finger goes up and she squints even more as ~~unicorn blood~~ blue-green..something drips down one ear.]

Where are all my Pokemon?

[Sasha's hunkered down behind a building in some far-flung town, hunting for people instead of Pokemon when she's checking her 'gear, only to do the worst thing a hunter can do: bolt to her feet and begins shouting at the top of her lungs, giving away her position.]

Mabel! Mabel! Mabel! Mabel!

[Yeah, that's all you're gonna get right about now.]

[Oh the smile Sasha gets rivals the one that Dipper got because Mabel is so super excited right now!!]

Sasha!!! Sasha Sasha Sasha Sasha I'm so happy to see you!!!! I'm sorry I left I'm so sorry!

[She may or may not be bouncing up and down right now.]

[Sasha is bouncing equally as hard. It's almost frightening how high pitched her squealing it.]

It's okay! I'm not mad or anything! I was sad, but I'm happy now that you're back!

[Suddenly, Sasha's eyes go wider than they already are.]

Oh, wait, someone wants to say hi, I think.

[Sasha tosses a ball and there's the familiar flash of light. Well, look who's a sight for sore eyes--it's Tabby Puss! Clad in a knitted lightweight summer tanktop too. She's been keeping your Pokes fashionable, Mabel.]

I'm happy to be back too! I'm so happy to be back and I'm so happy that you're here and that Dipper's here and Grunkle Ford!!

[Mabel's voice is just as high pitched at this point which just seems to be getting Little Dipper going as the little guy bops and floats around, thrumming and twilling merrily.]

Huh? Who--

[A gasp cuts off Mabel's words as the flash of light disappears, free hand going to her cheek.]

TABBY PUSS!!!!

[At the rate these two are going, either dogs will start howling or innocent bystanders will complain about hearing loss. Place your bets on which happens first, ladies and gents!

Tabby Puss hears that ever so familiar voice and runs over to the gear and rubs his face on it. Mom's home!]

I've been taking care of him, Jungle Jim, and Quill for you.

[Tabby Puss nods to confirm it, meowing a bit as if to say "And she's been doing a good job of it too!"]

[Why not both?

Mabel's eyes might be just a little watery as she gushes and presses a kiss to her 'gear for Tabby, bouncing still because this is just the best thing ever!]

Sasha you're the best thank you thank you thank you for taking care of them!! It means so much to me!!

You're welcome. I mean, I just thought... if I left again, and you were still here, you'd take care of mine too. So I just did it.

[No questions asked. Just took in Tabby Puss and Jungle Jim and the Rowlet and treated them no different than her own Pokemon. If life has taught Sasha anything in the last few years if that you take care of your friends, human and Pokemon alike.]

Um... but Mari's gone. She's been gone for a while now.

[There goes one third of the crew. :(]

Of course I would!! That's what friends do and you're one of my best friends Sasha!!

[Mabel would take in all of Sasha's Pokemon in a heartbeat if need be!

Her expression falters as Mari is brought up, her shoulders sagging slightly.]

Oh...that's...I hope she's safe back home.

[That there, kids, is the sound of a record scratch because hold up. Just wait one gosh daggone minute. Sasha wasn't prepared for Mabel to say that.]

I'm... your best friend?

[It's not that the concept of being someone's best friend is lost on Sasha. After all, Connie does exist. It's just that she didn't think Mabel considered her as much, even with how different they are to each other, and that they haven't known each other for longer than a fair handful of months. It took her and Connie longer to make that pact. But... it's nice. It makes her feel warm and soft inside and she doesn't doubt Mabel thinks so. After all, Mabel's always been excited to see her so it has to be true.

Sasha ducks her head down, feeling her cheeks warm up.]

You're one of my best friends too.

[But her blushing fades towards the topic of Mari.]

I think she is. She liked where she lived. It sounded like a cool place. I don't think it was bad as my world or yours. No Titans or Bill Cipher.

[Mabel blinks.]

Of course you are!

[Silly Sasha. Just because Mabel hadn't known you very long doesn't mean she didn't consider you one of her best friends in the whole Pokemon world! You were her sweater making buddy and had taken care of her Pokemon and had geeked out with her about stuff! That qualified for best friend status hands down!

Mabel beamed, moving to prop her 'gear up on something--her bag most likely--so she could make a heart with her hands.]

Best friends forever!!!

[She means it, Sasha!]

It did sound really neat! She got to sing with a group and put on shows and stuff. As long as she's happy...I hope her Pokemon are alright too.
