[Unfortunately for the current residents of Johto, they might be unfortunate enough to find what might be one of the worst video feeds ever on the network. It seems to cut in and out at first, and even after it manages to stay on for longer than ten seconds, the video is really just... the world spinning endlessly. Ground, leaves, sky, ground, leaves, sky -- Occasionally a tree is visible for half a second and the direction of movement seems to change, but other than that, it's an endless loop of ground-leaves-sky.
It might eventually be obvious that the camera appears to be attached to something that is rolling quickly down a hill. It probably helps that the entire feed is accompanied by the sound of what's clearly a Pokémon "hooting" over and over - rather excitedly, at that - and a voice somewhere in the distance. [At least that whole thing has let Pidge be able to take back the 'gear. Scowling a little at the little owl, Pidge checks to make sure he didn't break anything.]
I have no idea. I was just walking with this guy, and then all of a sudden he goes rolling down the slope off the side of the road, and it's not like I could've just let him get himself hurt or whatever. [Pidge isn't that kind of asshole, after all.]

...apparently in this case from themselves.
Have you had them for long?

Does it look like I've had him for very long.
[The words are deadpanned, and the statement is accompanied by the little owl fluttering up onto Pidge's shoulder and starting to gnaw aggressively on some of the messy hair sticking out at every angle.]

But OK so he's new and you're new. That just means you've got more room to grow. After all you get that little guy strong enough he'll switch his flying type to ghost type. And Ghost types are always cool.
[She has a soft spot for the spookies. It doesn't hurt that so many of them fit her purple aesthetic.]
