[The responding "Vul-pix!" is very telling as to what sort of Pokemon the young man being heard right now is speaking to, his 'gear either on by accident or because the aforementioned Vulpix had done it because it's trainer was being stubborn.

Whatever the case, anyone listening will hear 'Mom' saying goodbye then the music changes as they step outside--

and that's when the video clicks on as the 'gear hits the ground, an Alola Vulpix looking rather pleased with itself as it stares down at it. The little fox chirps at the 'gear then leans in to nose at it, turning it just right so he can pick it up and aim it at his trainer as he trots after the young man who is...not paying attention.

Rather he's digging through his bag with a bit of a frustrated frown.]

None of this is mine...I don't understand what's going on. That woman claimed to be my mother but she definitely wasn't. [He stops digging around and slings it onto his shoulder properly, looking back at his Vulpix--and giving everyone a proper look at his split hair and eye colors and that lovely scar he's got--only to pause.]

...You're filming me aren't you?

[The Vulpix chirps around the 'gear in its mouth and the young man sighs, turning completely and approaching his partner. He kneels down and reaches out to take the 'gear, holding it up properly so he can address the network.]

If anyone from U.A. High is seeing this, please contact me as soon as you're able. The sooner we find one another, the better.

[For all he knew, this could be the work of a villain's quirk after all.

He pauses, looking thoughtful.]

Actually, even if you aren't from U.A. High...I think it's best we work together to get out of here.

[That's what Izuku would say isn't it?]

Planning to head out of town on Route 29 or take the ferry over to Pallet Town?

As a heads up from another recent arrival, everyone will tell you there's no direct control over staying or going from this place. It's a world out of time to where you're from, so whenever you do get back, it'll be to where you left.

A few thought obtaining all badges from local pokemon battling groups called gyms might allow you to find a way back home sooner. There's no evidence either way with that, so take it as you will.

I hadn't decided yet. I was waiting to see if I could make contact with anyone I knew first.

A world out of time. So we were either displaced by someone with a very powerful quirk or something else is going on.

So is there any advantage to these gym things since there's no concrete evidence that beating them all will get us home?

Right. If there isn't anyone here, there's a chance they might arrive sometime in the future. No guarantees, but I'd ask the people who've been here for a few years what they've observed.

I have no idea what a quirk is. My guess is it's something native to this world.

Depends who you ask. Any pokemon you end up partnering with might want the challenge. Some seem more enthusiastic about fighting than others. From what I understand, there's benefits to what kinds of pokemon will listen to you, or what you're capable of teaching them after winning all the challenge fights in a gym, so some of it might be purely practical.

Understood. I guess I'll have to see what my Vulpix is inclined to do. And any others I get? Since I guess that's what we're suppose to do. There's a lot to learn about this place. It's very different from how my world is. We don't have creatures like this.

You're on a world that isn't yours. How is that any more impossible people can be here from other places under the same circumstances as you?

Yes, it's random how or if people arrive. Yes, the mentality of this world deals with owning, breeding, caretaking, battling, or any other kind of action performed on or with Pokemon. Except eating them, more or less.

I don't really understand. You had a power, a quirk, before here?

[ Oh, she gets it, but oh she won't be talking about "hers" is gone too, since two people here know she ever had one, and she plans on no one else ever learning. It's irrelevant anyway. ]

Nice to meet you too. You'll find that this world is pretty nice for all intents and purposes. There's a lot of adventure to be found, and a lot of cool new things to find here and there.

It's pretty simple. This world isn't complicated. There's things to take care of and track of course, diets for your Pokemon, caring for them, etc, but overall, it's a fairly uncomplicated lifestyle.

[Shoto's expression might just soften a bit at the sight of the other Vulpix though he doesn't get a chance to say anything because Polar is suddenly demanding to be picked up. He leans down to scoop his companion up and the Vulpix immediately chirps in greeting at Salchow, looking quite pleased to see another Pokemon.

[Salchow just blinks at Yuuko and then raises a paw in greeting to Polar. Yeah, he's the quiet type.]

Anyway...I'm afraid we don't actually know how we arrive here, or how we leave. It happens pretty suddenly. And don't mind "Mom", apparently she acts like that to everyone when they first get here.

That's what everyone's been saying...no one seems to be all that bothered by it either. It's strange. More strange than 'Mom', honestly.

It is pretty weird how she treats everyone like they're her kids...but it's not like she's really hurting anybody, so I think at this point most people just take it in stride. [Though Yuuko did feel weird about being treated like she was only a kid by her when she's an adult.]

So you're in New Bark Town right now? If you want to leave, you can either take Route 29 to Cherrygrove City or take the ferry to the Kanto region. Going to Cherrygrove means you don't have to spend much money, but it does take about three days on foot.

Cherrygrove is only a couple days away depending on how fast you walk. I've never heard of U.A. High, though, but that doesn't mean no one else has. Oh, and she ain't my mom either. For starters, my real mom's tanner and rounder and would give us way more food than that lady did.

I've only been here a week myself, I decided to take the Kanto route. But it was purely for a selfish reason as I wanted to see a Minior Shower. [Pause.] Er, kind of like a meteor shower. Only it was pokemon called Minior.

I've been debating if I should travel to the other region. It sounds like it might be interesting...Are Minior's star Pokemon then? If there's something called a Minior Shower I can only assume that's what they are.

Miniors appear to be rock types, so they appear just like meteors. They have a shield form that protects them once they start falling to the earth, once they land, it breaks and they reveal a much smaller form. They come in array of colors as well.
