Greetings. My name is Dr. Egon Spengler. I am looking for participants in a study regarding Psychic Pokémon, particularly telepathic Pokémon, and the effects of their powers on human beings. Participants must be:

• At least 18 years old
  
• Willing to subject themselves to extremely powerful waves of psychokinetic energy
  
• Must currently be human
  
• Must not be deceased or undead in any way
  
• Must not have severe reactions to electric shocks
  
• Must not be pregnant or planning on bearing children in the next five years
  
• Must not be associated with any currently operating law enforcement agency
  
• Previous experience with the Psychic Pokémon is appreciated but not necessary

Participating in this experiment may or may not result in severe to lethal brain trauma or other unspecified side effects. Taking certain medication may alter the results of this experiment. There will be no material compensation beyond the satisfaction that knowledge has been furthered in the name of science. [The room is in a state of relative disarray. Empty snack wrappers are littered about like confetti, and random papers just seem to be strewn on almost every surface. None of the boys have really bothered to keep the space clean, as it's not as if they bring guests over. Egon doesn't seem particularly bothered by this as he leans down to pick up a clipboard and some odd-looking device from the coffee table.]

I wish we could have done this in a more formal lab setting, but I suppose this will have to do.

[He gestures towards the couch, which is surprisingly clean of debris and clutter.]

Now, are you familiar with the practice of meditation and clearing one's mind of thoughts? I want to observe the effects of a psychic attack while someone is in this state of mind, and compare it to when one is purposely distracting themselves with other thoughts.

[He switches on the device, which starts to gently whirr and click in Kölliker's presence.]
