I'll have to get my hands on one of these. [She holds it out for Newt to take.] Thank you, Newt.
...Hm? Oh, I believe it was a man named Hank Anderson. What can you tell me about him?

He's really nice. He was a cop back home and he's friends with an android named Connor. Connor's nice too.
Hank also gave me advice on what books to read because I'm trying to get better at reading. And he says he'll teach me about baseball the next time we meet.
I like talking to him.
[Also Hank is probably the first person that she's actually talked seriously too about her feelings towards her brother and mom dying. So he's high up on the trust list.]

[Her voice takes on a warmer tone as she smiles kindly down at Newt. She has to say, it's nice seeing her actually talking about things in her life and participating in activities like a regular kid. Far from the terrified little girl she found crawling through the vents back on LV-426.]
Are there any other kids that you've talked to while you were here?
[Of course, Hank and Connor (she assumes) are adults. Not that she doesn't mind them interacting with Newt, but it would be nice if she could play with other kids her age.]

[This place has been really good for her. She's much less feral.]
There's not many kids. There's no one my age I don't think. Mabel was closer but she's gone now. I know some teenagers and a lot of adults.
[She has been almost/actually adopted by a large amount of adults.]
They're weird about ages here. This place didn't even believe that I was seven. The gear and the lying lady who says she's everyone mom just said I was ten and kicked me out of her stupid house when I woke up.
[Newt hates that lady, she hates how she woke up here and she hates how she ended up for the first bit. The rest turned out great and she's glad everyone she knows missed the parts where it was just her, terrified out of her mind and confused in this world.]
