"...Anymore?" Carly gives quite the nervous laugh, and does not seem to stop until Susie is actually no longer in her face space.

"Aha...It's completely fine!" she declares rather shrilly. "A-As long as you're not eating any faces now right? That means our faces are totally safe after all! Completely fine!"

Susie should feel bad for finding this funny. And she does a little? But definitely not as much as she should. She twirls her axe around nonchalantly and snickers quietly. "For now, yeah." She tosses the axe behind her and it fades away. She seems a lot more mellow now that she's backed off and taken a bit to cool down.

Susie looks down at the bug. "Thanks for helpin' me out there champ." She looks back up at Carly and points to it. "Your buddy got a name?"

There's not a lot of people who ever actually feel bad about Carly, probably because Carly is just Really Easy to scare. And also possibly throw under a bus.

She's still upset about ending up in questioning, thanks, Yuusei Fudou.

As it is, Carly beams. "He does! This is Red! They were named after the coolest fire breather I know!" she brags, the bug giving a small spurt of flame through their vents.

Technically Red was named after a Dragon. So, ultra cool.

"Oh, rad. Must come from a pretty cool place if you can choose a favorite fire breather, huh?" Susie's curious as to how many fire breathers there are exactly in Carly's world.

She looks down at the small friend she's carrying. "..guess I should give this little gremlin a name, huh.." Hearing this, it perks up a little and lets out a soft "meep"

"Of course~!" she cheers, quickly quieting. "...Not as cool as this place though, honestly..." Her favorite fire breathers are all cards after all. Not to mention the source of said fire breather was, well...

She stares off a little bit, pulling herself from her thoughts while Susie focuses on their own partner. "Ohoh? Didn't pick one yet..?"

"Nah. Been busy trying to k-

uh

fend off some birds. They were beating the shit out of this poor guy." Susie starts petting it absentmindedly, much to its delight. "Haven't exactly had a ton of time to think about a name. It perked up earlier when I called it a gremlin but, uh. I can probably do better than that. You any got more firebreathers or sickass beasts..?"

She has no idea. That she's considering naming her new son after a YGO card.

"Oh! You saved them then~" Carly cheers, already much more cheerful about this than before.

What Susie doesn't know can't hurt her right? "Another firebreather... I can think of something I bet..! Like..." She stares at the Gible. "Hnnn... ...like...Storm! ...As in Storm Wing! ...they don't have wings though so just Storm is enough right..?"

Susie grins. "Yeah, I... I guess I did." She straightens up a little, looking pretty pleased with herself.

When Carly suggests the name, Susie looks down at Gible to see how it reacts. Its expression would be best described as ">:D". It wiggles excitedly.

"Well, he seems to like the sound of it. 'Storm..' Its simple, but. I like it too, I think..!" She pats Gible on its head. "Well hey, if you end up growing any wings sometime soon, we can upgrade you to 'Storm Wing', yeah?" It meeps happily.

Both monsters seem pretty pumped about this. She looks back up at Carly. "Thanks, man."

"No problem~! Though I think Red did more..." she admits with a mutter. Oh well.

With a beam, she crosses her arms. "And if you ever want more cool name ideas...then I guess I'm free~!" she cheers. Her larvesta, if possible, may be rolling its eyes.

Susie snorts. "I'll keep that in mind. Not sure I'll really be bringing any more mosnters into my, uh. 'Team' here though."

"But if I guess if do, I'll come to you first."

She thinks for a moment. "I'm not. Really sure how I'd do that though. You, uh.. Got a phone number, or..?"

She rifles through her belongings to find her phone to no avail, ignoring the completely useless PokeGear that definitely doesn't work like a phone. It's not that she can't figure out how to work it, it's just. Broken or something.

Now that Susie mentions numbers though, Carly remembers the device she got to borrow for her time while here. Hopefully she's here long enough that she, uh...keeps it.

"I have this? It's like a phone...kind of? I don't know how long I'll be here though, this could be tricky when I think about it..."

To be fair, she doesn't know about the Huge T-Rex Pokemon yet.

Susie shrugs. "Still, let's trade numbers or whatever you're supposed to with these. Just in case, y'know?" It'd be really nice to have at least one acquaintance in this weird place she got dumped in. Last time it happened, someone came with her. She pulls the device out and fiddles with it for a hot minute.

"how do you turn this on"

She glances up at Carly. "You, uh.. happen to know how to work this thing..?"

"Right!"

...She pauses. "Uh....I think...here." With a click, the device is on. She points to the button she pressed for her own, so that Susie can try for herself. "It's pretty much a smart phone so...."

"O-oh. Yeah. Guess that makes sense." Susie turns it off and on again just to make sure that wasn't a fluke or anything.

She spends a little bit navigating the device, figuring out What's Up til she finds what she's looking for. "So is.... this it?" She pulls up the right menu and shows Carly her Trainer ID. Incredibly, it reads "8008135."

"So do we just smash these things together now or"

"Uhhhh...." She takes a moment to look over Susie's screen along with her own, squinting. "I think.... ...contacts? Oh, there we go," she mutters, tapping the screen. "And....add..?"

Ah, there's a keypad. "I guess if I add your number it should work...as long as you add mine too?"

"Makes sense." She's about to type Carly's number in when she has an epiphany:

"..probably need your number here too, huh."

"Mmhmm! Let's see..." She's added in Susie's now, so she can easily go back to her main card screen. There it is-

"Right there-" She'll let the other copy it down.

"Gotcha." She takes a minute doing just that and gets everything sorted out.

"Hell yeah. Lemme see if this works real quick." Susie starts typing something and soon Carly receives a very important message on her device. It reads:

She snickers quietly. "Did it work?"

"Hey, just because I've got these glasses!" ...That's a yes.

She pouts, but then beams. "It seems like it worked though~ Hopefully this works for however long we're here then, huh?"

She gives Carly a big, toothy grin. "Sure hope so. I'd really like to keep in touch with my good friend Charlie."

She glances down at her PokeGear and squints at it.

"..Carly. My great pal Carly." She snickers again. That seemed like an attempt at a Goof™, though it might've been a little hard to tell.

Susie turns her head to look down the road. "Well, I'm sure you've got, uh. Important stuff to take care of. I guess I should head out and get this little guy some more help." She pats Gible on the head. "Is this the way to the next town?" She points in the exact opposite direction she needs to go.

This one was not Goofs™.

"Uhhhhh..." Town...town... "...I guess it depends on the last one you were in? It's the way to A town..."

"Yeah alright, I guess that's fair." She pauses. "I think I've been in the wild for kinda long, come to think of it. I was chasing those birds for a while. I'm probably close to another town. Only one way to find out, I guess."

Susie turns the Correct way and starts to head out. Before she gets too far though, she stops and looks over her shoulder. "Talk to you later.....?"

"Yeah~!" Carly gives a cheery thumbs up. She can't wait to ~~forget~~ see her later!

Susie smiles and returns the gesture. And then,

She's off.
