"Yeah, it's a Pokegear. It's like a phone, a radio and a Pokedex all in one. And I know it has a few more features as well." said Yayoi.

"Oooooo..." She wants one...

"AH-" But Larvesta takes priority. "Really!? I just wake up with them and they're mine!?" That seems....intense. "...How do I look after them! I don't know a thing about...uh."

She looks at the bug. "...About 'larvesta's..." It's 'larvesta' for the plural, probably.

"I can give you some information on their diets, habits, and you can get to know Larvesta's personality. Communicate with it! You can understand Pokemon even if you can't speak with them directly. Communicating with Pokemon comes from the heart." said Yayoi.

"Oooooo..." Oh, that's quite the relief then. She starts to feel at least a little more excited about this, bringing a hand over her own heart. "...From the heart, huh..." she says with a tone far softer than her earlier shrill panic and anxiousness, shifting on her feet.

And then as if a switch were flipped, she's back into that hyperdistressed state. "W...wait...if we both have to eat... ...H-Hey, how am I supposed to support that..!? I don't have a job here you know!"

"There's trainers who pay out the forfeit when you battle and win," said Yayoi, gesturing to the route down the road. "They can be battled on the road for challenge money, but that's only really if you're in a tight spot. Jobs are plentiful and there's always busking it if you're starting out but that's if you're real desperate. People like me will help out though. No worries. I can put you up at my place for the weekend and if you're sticking around for longer, then well, you've got a place to stay for a while!"

"Hnnnnn....busking..." She considers that, and then realizes she has no idea what talents she could Busk With. A shame. "Hauhhhh, and sending this little guy into combat right away just feels mean too..." she laments.

Debating internally, she considers Yayoi's offer. "Is that really okay though..? I can't be the only one here right?"

"Pokemon love to battle though, it's in their blood. And even if they don't, there's things like Contests that you can prepare for which give amazing prizes for participation." said Yayoi.

"And no, you're not the only one here. There's plenty of people here visiting this weekend, and there's always people arriving every so often. It's like clockwork."
