[That's a familiar voice, at least. Lust scrambles awkwardly to a stop, nearly tripping over her own paws and narrowly avoiding ending up face dirt in the ground. Barely.]

Envy?

[Thankfully she can still speak normally. How, she has no idea, but she's learned not to question these things anymore.]

[She blinks, looking for her brother....oh! There, she can see him now. Sort of. How fitting.]

[He's a chameleon creature.]

[He continues to become visible as he approaches.]

I've certainly been better. At least I've evolved.

Honestly I don't know if this is better or worse than being a Pokemon chimera. How are you faring? You're far more used to different shapes.

I mean...it could be worse.

But I'd rather just be able to change shapes as much as I want, I was looking forward to it...

Once I got better at managing the camouflage it got better. I tripped an entire horse.

That would be the ideal, but reality's unraveled more than usual this time.

[Hopefully that's not some ill omen. One can never tell, around here.]

That must have been one startled horse. I've mostly been trying to adapt to this ridiculous shape. Why are cat feet so small?

How does this Pokemon normally even walk?

I have no idea! I have a pair and I still don't know. But they manage it just fine.

[It defies physics, in her opinion. Then again, the same could be said for nearly anything Lust could point at in this world on any given day.]

At least it doesn't last long. And I'm starting to get the hang of it.

How difficult is it to change your color?

Yeah, being stuck like this a few days is better than...I don't remember how long the mutant thing lasted, actually? Weeks?

It's easy to blend in, I think that's instinctive or something because it took me a whole day just to figure out how to STOP being invisible.

I haven't gone for anything wild yet, no polka dots.

[Lust shudders at the memory. At least fully transformed, everything's proportionate and natural. Or as natural as any Pokemon is.]

Well why not? I'm sure we could find some interesting patterns you can stand against and try and copy.

No, I haven't. I've been wary of accidentally traumatizing innocent bystanders. I've seen what my Espurr can do, and while I'm far less familiar with my Meowstic's abilities, I can imagine.

[They're stronger, and that's slightly terrifying. But she can't say she isn't curious. If she's stuck like this for the time being, may as well get some enjoyment out of it.]

But you're right, I should try it out, while I can.

C'mon, you're right. If we've got to be stuck with these powers, let's have some fun with them.

[OFF TO FIND A LOCATION TO PRACTICE.]

[Farther out of the residential areas of the city, there's a lot more interesting stuff around...like a big painted mural of berries painted on the side of a cafe--one that's wisely closed for the weekend. Lots of colors and patterns to be found there...and plenty of inanimate objects around to knock around with psychic powers.]

I think this will work just fine.

[Plenty of interesting patterns and things to have fun with. And not much potential to catch any innocent civilians up in it - just in case. Lust's had enough mishaps with her own psychic cats...]
