She's back here again. Not for the last time she's sure, nor for the second time given what she's been doing for the last week and a bit. But she's back here again, and Carly stretches as she re-enters Violet to head for the Poke-Center.

"We've been working really hard huh~?" she cheerfully announces, referring to the pokemon at her side. Solitaire- the Alolan Vulpix- seems exhempt from the matter, simply dozing away atop Carly's backpack...which is notably emptier seeming without a tent in it. But the rest of the pokemon, including the one which momentarily looked more like a fuzzy hair broach than anything, seem to be chittering their excitement.

One in particular looks especially pleased- evolution does that for a gal, and the newly evolved Salazzle is enjoying walking on two legs.

Entering the poke-center though, Carly is getting right to the point. "Alright- we'll just heal up, and then hea-"

....Hold on.

"S-Susie..!?" She'd have expected her to be off near Ecruteak, or even the Farm by now!!

I do not know. I have reason to believe that she is an otherwise benign spirit or supernatural entity that serves as some sort of gatekeeper from other dimensions to this one. However, as our brains are limited in what they can interpret, she has reduced her form to that of a maternal figure.

Yes, actually. She is apparently very receptive to people returning, but only after they have spent some time away from "home". Strange, isn't it? I look forward to being able to go back one day and take the appropriate PKE readings around the area.

No. Whatever name she may actually have has not been revealed to us. I plan on performing an experiment seeing whether she responds to the names of the mothers of those who live here--and, if that is the case, she might be some sort of dimensional amalgamation of spiritual echoes from all mothers throughout the multiverse.

PKE--psychokinetic energy. This energy is particularly concentrated around areas or objects imbued with psychic or otherwise unnatural effects, such as Ghost-type or Psychic-type Pokémon.

No, not all ghosts come from the deceased. Although there are several that have been reported to be more likely to have come from human beings, such as Cofagrigus, Yamask, or Phantump, there are others that are born from hateful or negative emotions, such as Banette or Sandyghast. Others simply come to form via unknown sources of powerful psychokinetic energy. And so on and so forth.

This is also true of the ghosts that exist in my home dimension. We categorize them accordingly based on what traits they exhibit, including from where they originate from.
