I will, for sure.

It's basically a dead or really weakened version of the disease that's placed in your body, so your body learns how to fight that disease without getting sick
I'm probably not explaining it well because, I mean, I'm not a doctor, but that's the general idea?

How do you kill a disease?

Wait, I apologize. You just said you are not a doctor. Is this something an average person can accomplish?

Oh no I know that one actually it's pretty common knowledge where i'm from

Uh brace yourself though because it mind be kind of alarming if you didn't already know it? I promise it's not as scary as it sounds though.

So a lot of diseases including the flu are actually caused by really tiny living things that get into the body and attack it, and a lot of the symptoms we see are the product of the body trying to kill them. So if you teach it first it can do that better, and either kill the germs - that's a collloquial term for those tiny organisms - right away so you don't get sick at all, or at least fight them faster so you're not sick as long and you're in less danger.

A part of this is trying to compare this to something I am familiar with. Is it similar to sparring with a wooden dummy, would you say?

I think so? I mean I've never sparred with a dummy myself but it seems like the same basic idea. Evne if it can't move you get a feel for making sure your attacks hit something human-shaped right?

Yes. It also helps you adjust yourself to the impact of hitting something solid.

Can anyone kill or buy these dead diseases to improve their body?

Yeah it sounds like that's definitely along the right lines then!

Yes; they're called vaccines, some of them you have to go to a doctor for but most pharmacies have flu vaccines available around fall and winter

Actually it might be different here bu tgiven how this place works i'd gues they're MORE accessible than they were back home?

I will encourage Ashe to come with me as we stop by the Pokecenter. I am certain that the nurses there will know more on this subject.

But you should also know it takes a couple weeks for them to be effective, so you won't be immune right away - and you're probably gonna feel pretty gross for a day or two after getting it done.

You know how you'll be tired after training even though it wasn't a real battle? I assume anyway.
It's like that but with how the body responsds to illness.
I have a fever, and muscle aches, and so on because that's my body tyring to deal with the flu germs; so after getting a vaccine, you might get a minor version of those symptoms

That is not stupid, and it will not kill you. You'll just probably want to rest for a day or two.

Can you not tell how hot you are by someone feeling your forehead?

Anyway like that you can tell someone HAS a fever and kind of how bad it is ubt not the numerical temperature, you can measure heat as a number with a thermometer and use that to tell how bad a fever is
