Howdy, everyone! I have a question about this fish.

[The camera turns to a Magikarp flopping on the grass, slowly making its way towards Asgore. It seems like a totally normal one. But somehow, it makes the usual vacant Magikarp stare look...angry.]

They accidentally splashed themself out of the lake as I was passing, so I put them back in. But now they have done it three times. They seem to be able to survive on land, but that cannot possibly be comfortable...are they alright?

Oh! I am about to travel through a cave as well - Union Cave. Is it a long journey?

I have not been though Union Cave, at this time. So I've no advice. Sorry.

As for Magikarp... perhaps it is a challenge. Moogle [ his Espurr ] followed in a similar way.

[He'd been sorely tempted to send messages to his father under "Bob"'s name, just so he could make sure Asgore was alright - even of Asriel was lying like there was no tomorrow, his Dad's well being was still on his mind - but to hear that he's already at Union Cave is interesting. Where even was that cave? He hadn't seen it yet. Had Asgore passed through Violet City already? Was he far away enough that if he said something, he wouldn't rush right back in a couple of hours? It makes Asriel nervous to consider.

Still...it's his Dad...he really wants him to be okay! And he really does want to talk to him.]

Oh, yes, in the Pokemon Balls! I heard about that...

[He sounds mildly uncertain still. But if the Pokemon really does want to be captured, then it's not as if he's hurting them, right? The camera shifts as he apparently takes a knee to talk to the fish.]

Are you trying to ask to travel with us?

[The Magikarp goes still for a moment and then, in a mighty flop, flings itself directly at the camera. Asgore's quick to move it, however, and he can be heard chuckling as the fish presumably makes contact with his chest and/or face.]

I've had one for weeks, and I can't tell.

I'm also not sure if it's getting any stronger by flopping around while other Pokemon attack it.

If you have another idea of how to train it, be my guest. It's not any more graceful in water, and there's nothing for it to fight near the shore.

That's a Magikarp and they're awesome!

Trust me. I know it looks like a useless little fish, but....

That is what they grow up into!

I don't know how the living on land thing works, but it does.

[By the time he responds, he's picked up the fish and is holding it under one arm. It seems calmer; if anything, it's pretty interested to see a Gyarados.]

That is a very impressive transformation! But they do not have to fight to be useful. I'm sure this little one has had quite the interesting life already.

It's the most drastic one I've seen so far! And it makes traveling a lot easier, I can ride on Sentra.

They always seem happy, for fish, that's for sure.

It should be just fine, actually. For whatever reason, the 'fish' pokemon seem quite capable of spending a fair amount of time out of water, though as you can see some find moving about rather difficult.

As for the cave, well, it depends on how easily you can find your way. Although it's certainly one of the smaller caves of the region.

That's good to hear! I have spent time navigating caves before, so it should be no trouble.

Will she have difficulty on hot days, or in the cold? I know a fish-like monster back home who cannot stand extreme temperatures. Heat is worse; it dries out her scales.

It'd be hard t' carry a big bowl for them t' swim in...oh, um! I know where that cave is, though! It's not too big, jus' a little bigger'n th' Underground is! But it's kinda twisty...
