1st Cast Off [Video/Action New Bark Town]
Video
[It doesn't take him too long to finagle with this new machine, eventually finding a way to create a video. Great. Excellent start.
He doesn't put the camera on himself but on his surroundings, recording everything around him.]
My name is Kira Yoshikage. I think what happened... well, it doesn't matter. I come from a town called Morioh and probably got washed up here. I'm a little confused about my surroundings and these creatures. [The camera turns to the Lapras, who leans in to push her snout into the phone. Large sniffs can be heard that muffle the audio for a moment. His voice is just made out, as he tells the creature to stop that.]
Anywaaaay... I got a brief explanation and while this is all weird I'm hoping that maybe someone else got washed up here with me. Someone who also came from Morioh. Uh, Morioh is a really small town in Japan, if that helps at all. If he's here or not it will give me a clear idea on my current situation. I don't want to draw any drastic conclusions until then.
Soooooo, thanks ahead of time. [The video cuts out.]
[Action]
[He finishes his video, stepping back before the Lapras can shove her nose into it again. Yeah, he learned that this was his. She's... she's pretty big. She's got big flippers so she's not going to be able to go far unless she's in the water. And she's really friendly.
She's nothing he's ever seen before in his whole life. But he can conclude that she's some kind of sea faring thing. Inside his backpack he found some interesting things but the most useful seems to be a notebook and pen. This is perfect. If nothing else he can start documenting what he's found here.
He's also learned that he can point this thing at these creatures and he'll gather information about them. So this is what he knows:
Lapras: The Transport Pokémon. People have driven Lapras almost to the point of extinction. In the evenings, this Pokémon is said to sing plaintively as it seeks what few others of its kind still remain.
Well, that's pretty sad. He doesn't even really understand what's going on here but he's been given some near extinct creature and a book on breeding. The answer is kind of obvious, huh? He's here because there is work to be done. He did all he could in Morioh and now he's here with a clear task at hand.
This is bizarre and a lot to take in, no doubt, but he's never been one to fight the current. It's better to go along with it. Fate is fate. What happens when you try and stop the inevitable? You end up in a situation like this.]
I don't know about you, Lapras. But I can take a hint. [She wiggles about in response. He can't help but smile. He takes out his notebook and put's the pen behind his ear, it's time to get to work.
If you happen to be in New Bark Town you'll find this young man, dressed in a sailor suit, fussing with his Lapras. Measuring her like you would a horse, with hands. He fusses with her shell, shoves his face into her mouth to see if she has teeth and if they're sharp. Around and around this creature he goes, taking down notes whenever he learns something new.]
You may need to call out to him more than once as he's a little lost in his work. But his Lapras will notice you right away and will start to sing immediately.]

I haven't heard of any of those people. For starters, I'm an only child on account of my dad skipping town - and he's a Joestar.
[Everything stops for a moment.]
Man, you might be right. Haha, how wild is that? That there are two Kira Yoshikages from Morioh, and they have the same Stand.
Video;
You said Joestar? You're a Joestar? So am I. My grandfather is Joseph Joestar. He married a woman named Suzie Q. My mother's name is Holly Joestar but she married my dad and is a Kira now. Holly Kira. But thankfully the Joestar line is easy to prove.
So put up or shut up.
[It's a "I'll show you mine if you show me yours first" kind of situation. He's got the star birthmark. As does his sister. And his mom too. They're all descendants of the Joestar bloodline. If you have a star that means you're one, no doubt about it. And if this kid has a birthmark something really weird is happening or someone in his family is a cheater. His grandpa probably. It's the only one it could be.
Although... that doesn't explain this whole other Kira same stand thing that's going on here. But one thing at a time.]
Video;
[He reaches over his head, clearly showing that he, too, has the Joestar.]
...but this one means I can't be lying either! And even though I found out only months ago... my father's name is Joseph Joestar.
[Congratulations, you were right - Joseph Joestar was a cheat. Although now the implication that his half-sister is in multiple marriages??? Maybe that's for later though.]
Video;
[This is weird. But not any weirder than anything else he's come across regarding his family legacy.]
I guess... if your dad is Joseph Joestar and Joseph Joestar is my grandfather that makes you... my uncle, I guess? [He can't help but offer a huff of laughter at this. Josuke is clearly a kid. Oh man, he's older than his uncle. Good Grief.]
Should I call you Oji-san or should we keep it casual?
[Well. Somehow they're related or something kind of like that. Either way that clears up one mess.] But let's hear about this other Kira Yoshikage that apparently deserves the beat down of the century. I've never heard of two different stand users having the same stand. Though, I don't claim to be an expert.
[Kira snaps his fingers, a sudden thought coming.] You, you look like someone I know, Kujo Josefumi. I bet I figured something out. Is your stand called Soft and Wet?
Video;
[Jotaro probably wouldn't have listened if he had, and he's used to it more anyway.]
Anyway, the other Kira was a thirty-something guy who'd been secretly killing people for like fifteen years and kept all his fingernail clippings. He's dead now, but I heard this place does all sorts of weird stuff with time. Which I guess might explain a few things, if it wasn't 1999 for you before you got here.
As for my Stand... it's actually Crazy Diamond but your friend has damn good taste.
[Prince is never a bad idea.]
Video;
[He does listen carefully about the serial killer. It's... well. They have a rather odd hobby in common apparently. Collecting finger nails. It makes him a bit uneasy. Or it did until he heard the year. 1999?]
I was seventeen in 1999. So, that's relieving news. I'm glad I don't become a rampaging serial killer in the next few years. I'll be able to sleep easy now. I'm from the year 2011. It's pretty cool. Smart phones and the high speed internet are going to rock your world.
[He smirks a bit. Yeah, Fumi has good taste. It'd be cool if that kid made it here too. Having people compliment him would make him insanely bashful which would be funny. Also a place like this could only bring his spirits up even if it's insanely different than what they've ever known.] You too. Would I be correct in assuming that the full name of your stand is Shine on you Crazy Diamond? That'd be a mouthful to say in the heat of a fight or something though.
Video;
The future I'll actually live to see sounds great already! You know, as opposed to the ridiculously far-off future there's apparently some people from here. Something about Earth just dying and now there's some awful megacorp.
[Josuke you are holding essentially an extremely specialized smartphone. It's not that big a deal.]
And I figured that's where the name came from but nah, it's just Crazy Diamond. Call it a blessing, since there's a guy I know whose Stand is called Red Hot Chili Pepper and I would not want to be yelling something that long in a fight.
Video;
[Red Hot Chili Pepper... really? Why purposely make your life hard?] That sounds obnoxious. I guess maybe if you shorten it. But Chilli Pepper or Red Hot is kinda lame.
You know a lot of stand users? I never really ran across too many until recently. Sort of in the family thing and then some weird stragglers popped out of the woodwork.
Video;
[Although there's enough ill will in that group of people that something is going to boil over eventually, and he's sure of it.]
Well if you take it down to just two words there's no way to not make it lame.
As for more Stand users... one of them I know told me something. "Stand users are attracted to each other". Whenever you get back to 2011, I'm sure there'll be more.
Video;
[He lets out a slight sigh taking a glance at the video again. This sure is a bizarre turn of events. A sudden uncle. He doesn't know much about his grandfather but he feels like this shouldn't be surprising.
It's just bizarre how much this kid looks like his friend. Fumi really would be over the moon that someone had his weird hairstyle. It'd be the biggest geek out over hair in history.
It's nice to know that he's got family in this crazy place. Sure they haven't met before this or anything like that but the stars don't lie and this kid seems like a huge dork just like Fumi so they're going to get along fine.]
I'm going to let you go, Josuke... Gotta start my own journey or adventure, whatever. But we should definitely meet up at some point.
