Where: Random places in Hisui/ Johto
When: till September
Summary: Catch all for the rest of the hisui event starting from part 2 and will encompass the rest of summer just to keep things organized for now.

Log:
Arrival/ Obsidian Fieldlands at night
It's been a wild ride since he'd arrived in this new region. At first he had felt at home in Johto and even had some buddies there like Grim and Brodoof. He was getting used to that world when he was suddenly thrown into the past. Sure, Zack had understood What Cara Liss had said but that didn't mean he liked it. He was just starting out his second chance at life and now here he was in another new world.
While he did miss his phone and other modern technology and goods {his hair gel really was sorely missed} he didn't mind being out in the wild. He'd grown up with almost nothing in the backwaters of Gongaga so this was more nostalgic of home then the other place had been.
Zack missed his buddies but luckily he had gained another buddy here. Doggo the growlithe was his buddy and he reminded Zack a lot of brodoof. Doggo would often lay at his feet or cuddle him when he was feeling sad. It was like Doggo could read his thoughts, though Zack wasn't sure if that was real or not. The jury was out on that one still. Together they had adventured around the Obsidian fieldlands, meeting other trainers every so often but usually camping out under the stars together. That was where they were currently found, huddled up under a tree. Doggo was sleeping but Zack was up and stargazing, kept up by thoughts of home and of the previous world.
Cobalt Coastlands
The coastlands were a place Zack really enjoyed. It wasn't too hot but when you laid on the beach for awhile it was warm enough to warrant a nice soak in the waters. At least he had thought that until he realized how many pokemon were in the waters. He had stopped venturing deep into the ocean after learning what lived there the hard way. Doggo wasn't even able to help him in water at all, the poor boy always waited for him patiently on the beach like the good boy he was.
Currently Zack was lounging on the beach, his growlithe laying besides him but on alert in case any other pokemon came too close and tried to bother them. He'd taken his survey corps uniform top off and was topless, only keeping the pants on for now. Doggo's tail started to wag a bit but he stayed where he was, seeing a trainer in the distance. Zack sat up, his back covered in sand and stretched a bit before getting up to survey the area around them.
Alabaster Icelands
It was cold, but with Doggo at his side he had a small furball who always generated heat. The two had trekked into the snowy fields exploring. Really it was just Zack walking in the snow with Doggo in his arms the whole time to keep them both warmer. Doggo was enjoying this and had his tongue out the entire time.
As they had explored, the duo came up upon a flock of bird pokemon that Zack obviously didn't recognize. It looked like some of the bigger birds were picking on a smaller one. Doggo whined at the scene and the two rushed in. Some of the birds (rufflets) flew off in surprise but the one that remained seemed injured in it's wing. Doggo used a fire fang on the rufflets that remained while Zack grabbed the injured Rufflet. "Hey little one, you doing okay? I'll get you some help soon I promise."
A cold wind blew as Zack brought the bird closer to his chest. He whistled for Doggo to leave the others and follow him as they ran into the wild to find any other trainer who might have some kind of healing on them.

Bolt, on the other hand, is positively basking in the attention, squeaking merrily even as those sparks start to ramp up a bit. Geddoe just watches calmly, waiting to see how well or poorly this will end. He's not the type to interfere unless it's needed.
no subject
His body shook a bit, unable to move for a moment as he started to get his bearings again. "Jeez...that...wow...ow that hurt.....I think it's time to go back to your trainer Bolt."
no subject
Bolt, of course, wasn't quite done playing yet, so Geddoe gets another shock himself for his trouble, but at least that one's just on him. And like before, he doesn't even flinch, apparently used to this sort of thing.
"That's enough of that now," he says sternly, adjusting his hold on Bolt so that the Pichu can have a look at Zack. "If you want to play with others you need to be more careful."
no subject
"Phew...what a hit...man I'm gonna feel that for awhile..."
no subject
That said, all this exertion is tiring, and once Geddoe loosens his hold Bolt just curls up in its trainer's hand. Geddoe doesn't seem to pay it much mind, beyond shifting his hold slightly so that the Pichu won't roll off in its sleep, instead turning his attention to Zack.
"You all right?"
He's not going to apologize, seeing as how he warned him, but he'll at least make sure the guy's not in need of immediate help.
no subject
He looked up at Geddoe though and didn't have any frown on his face, instead he was smiling. "He really is going to be a strong pokemon one day." Doggo had jumped off him when he moved and now was sitting contently in his lap. "I think I can stand in a minute...just a little outta it."
no subject
Fortunately, the young man seems largely unharmed. Maybe he'll be a bit sore for a while, but that's something one can live with.
"So long as it's more careful."
Being strong or powerful doesn't mean much if one can't control it. Another thing Geddoe's all too well acquainted with.
no subject
"It's still a baby so I think it will be fine." He smiles and stands, wobbling a moment and putting a hand on Geddoe to keep himself up. Once he's sure he's okay he let's go and rubs at his own bare arm. "sorry...was a bit dizzier getting up then I thought."
no subject
Geddoe does have every intention of training up the Pichu properly, but who knows how long it'll take to grow out of this phase. Then again, doubtless he's aware that the Pokemon in question is relatively young, given the fact that he caught another as a more dedicated fighter... and is currently still holding the sleeping Bolt cradled in his hand.
That said, Zack earns himself another scrutinizing glance. "Don't overdo it."
Seriously, Geddoe doesn't want to have to drag a full-grown man back to camp because he passed out or something.
no subject
no subject
"I'll see you back."
He is concerned about whether the guy can make it back on his own, considering. Geddoe may be used to dealing with the occasional shock, even some nasty ones, but most people aren't.
no subject
"I appreciate it man."
He starts to walk back, keeping pace with Geddoe. "So....what did you used to do before coming here?"
no subject
"I did mercenary work back in the world I'm from."
Not exactly a career with a stellar reputation, but he has his reasons.
no subject
Now that's a whole can of worms he doesn't really want to talk about nor does he think Geddoe would like to hear. It's too long a story and with how little Geddoe says himself it would probably just be a bother.
"I was in the military before that but I left after a mission gone bad, not my fault but...I guess I wasn't strong enough to prevent it."
no subject
That said, Geddoe is very all too familiar with that last sentiment.
"If you did everything you could, then try not to beat yourself up over it."
He knows that's much easier said that done--heck, there's still crap from fifty years ago he feels bad about--but he also knows dwelling on it doesn't fix things for anyone.
no subject
It's clear Zack is a bit in his own world, replaying the event of Nibelheim, of Angeal leaving SOLDIER and of his meetings with Genesis. "Hey Geddoe...do you think this place is a second chance?"
no subject
"No idea. Seems like no one knows how people wind up here, let alone why. Some like it here, others don't."
no subject
"What do you believe?"
no subject
"I figure it's just another world, however we got here. And if what people say that time passes differently here is true, then I can just stick it out until I go back."
Yes, he's quite aware some people have been here for years. Apparently that doesn't bother him. Much.
no subject
"Hey Geddoe? Could I tell you a secret?"
no subject
Now, Geddoe wouldn't age, but that's for other reasons. Zack's question is met with a raised eyebrow, though.
"You wanna tell a secret to someone you just met?"
He's not the type to blab, mind, but the point remains.
no subject
He walks ahead a little quicker, feeling like he embarrassed himself now.
no subject
"Your call," Geddoe says with a slight shrug. Honestly,he figures it's probably the sort of all too common thing that young folk think is a much bigger deal than it is.
no subject
"I...I'm pretty sure I'm dead. I mean, my last memories are of myself dying so..." He sighs and looks away. "I know that's kinda heavy and sorry for spurring it on you like that but I...I just need to talk about it with someone...anyone..."
no subject
Suffice it to say then, that what Zack actually says surprises him enough to stop in his tracks.
Though only for a moment, you don't get to be as old as he is if you let things like that get to you for long.
"... I don't know what to tell you. There's a lot of strange things about this world."
