yip i | video
[The camera opens right on some quality Riolu toebeans. Which is to say, it's the Riolu who figured out where the record button was, but hasn't got a great grasp of where the camera is. He's picked up back into his trainer's arm's momentarily, a short young-looking woman who is...squinting very much at the pokegear.]
...I have several questions.
[Remy, not one to be left out, yips imperiously. He is here too!! He has important things to say!!!]
Primary among them, I believe, is how much this one should be eating.
[She does turn the camera a bit, to her surroundings--to display the bento someone immediately devoured.]
And, perhaps, where I...might find food myself.
[There's some fumbling, but she is trying to turn the video off...it takes her so long some wild pokemon seem to have shown up out of sheer...concern? Hunger? Here to watch the show? You know maybe that's alarming to see a heracross just loom out behind her before she turns the video off. Ooops.
ooc: if you prefer to find her in person, she is on route 29 and very confused! just mark action and we're good to go!]

Vide (I suddenly realized AFTER posting she has similar silvery hair and gold eyes to Sion... XD)
Though as for food, if you're not far yet from the town you awoke in, you may be able to purchase a few basic supplies there. Otherwise, there's usually wild fruits and such that can be found. They may not be much, but it's only a few days to the next town, so they can keep you going until then.
That said, be careful of the large berries the Pokémon eat. They're perfectly fine for the Pokémon, but can be unpleasant for humans.
vid; it is peak aesthetic
[She read the guidebooks but she's not super comfortable with that idea just yet. She just got here, after all. But she is thinking about it, and apparently was quiet too long--Riolu has a lot to say, apparently!]
Remy, be nice.
def a most pretty look!

[Looking down at Riolu. Riolu looks up at her.]
I suppose if he does keep eating that much, he'll need some kind of exercise before he gets rounder.

*fat Pokémon aren't common, but aren't unheard of, either...*
Assuming he'd like to battle, that is.
no subject
...It's worth giving it a try, we suppose.

[HER MOM IS DEAD WHAT IS GOING ON.]

[It is both less and more brutal than the options she's used to.]
He's...quite small, too. Not much larger than my son...

*like being practically down right magical in a world that ostensibly doesn't have magic. That last remark actually catches him a bit off-guard, though*
Ah... You have family back in your world, then?
no subject
Yes...I named this one for him, actually. Remy.

If it's any consolation, as far as anyone's been able to determine, whatever time one spends here has no affect on their own world. That is, whenever you return, it will be to the same moment that you left.

[She sighs, though--it is genuinely a relief. She misses them, but if they are in no danger, then...]

*and boy that remark raises questions but Sion will refrain for now*
Ah, though I never did introduce myself, did I? I'm Sion Astal; a pleasure to meet you.
no subject
[She...she even curtsied. And then kind of paused.]
...I suppose most of that doesn't matter here, does it? Naeva is fine, Mr. Astal, the pleasure is all mine.

*and he wouldn't even mention it now but for the fact that it's only polite to give his title when she'd introduced herself with hers*
But most people here don't really stand on formalities, and what you do and achieve while here certainly matters more to the locals than whatever one might have been back home.

[She sighs, but has to pause to let Remy down, for his wiggles have become quite insistent. I'm sure this won't cause any trouble downthread.]
But introductions are a habit I'll need to work on.
no subject
*it's good to know they agree on that!*
I doubt most people would mind you introducing yourself with your proper title, but I've always found it makes things easier not to make a mention of such things if not necessary, myself.

[...]
In that sense it could be considered a vacation.
no subject
Though a vacation is certainly one way to think of your time here.
no subject
[She says it pretty dryly, tbh.]
I have a six month old son, a vacation is what it's going to be.
[She hasn't slept in six months sweet arceus send help.]
no subject
Oh? Quite a handful, is he?
no subject
[She does laugh a bit, though.] All infants are. And then they become toddlers...and toddlers become children, children into teenagers, and then you realize they've become an adult in the time it takes to blink.
no subject
Well, then hopefully you'll be able to enjoy your 'vacation' here, for however long it should last. And should you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
