[The feed opens on Joey and a Bisharp standing in front of a slot machine. Both wear ecstatic expressions as the machine dispenses coin-after-coin, and Joey holds a confused looking Dratini above his head as he cheers. Noise from the other machines and patrons occasionally cuts through the pair's exultation, but the majority of sound pouring through the feed comes from their cheers.]

Yo we did it! We made out like bandits!

[Joey thrusts the Dratini forward for the camera to see.]

Me and Hermos here have been killin' it on da slots, so dis lil' jackpot here marks twelve and a half grand we've managed to carve out! We got ourselves a big ol' chunk'a change and scored dis' heckin' baloon animal-lookin' Pokémon too! There's no stoppin' da wheels on da Joey Train!

You know it! Dis' lil' guy's gonna grow into a big ol' Dragon in no time! Only two monstahs left for da' team too, and den' it's showtime!

[Joey produces two cards from a pouch on his belt, one showing a large crocodilian creature and another showing a large black dragon, and shows them to the camera.]

Gotta get me one'a dem' Alligator's Swords and one'a dem Red-Eyes Black Dragons!

[ —!! a feraligatr and a charizard, but . . . they're both different colored. ]

They're both shiny— Those are really rare. [ he's recently received zera from thace, though, which is exactly what joey is looking for, but. male. hm. ] Would you, maybe . . . Be interested in breeding for them?

Breedin'? Like, fa horses and stuff?

[He scratches at his head confusedly.]

I don't got a fancy fahm or nothin' for dat, so I wouldn't know where to even begin.

Oh, that's— I'm a Breeder. If you'd like, I can try a Totodile for you first and see how it goes.

I know a friend who'd let me borrow their Feraligatr, and I have a Charizard, but . . . He's male. The chances for a Charmander are smaller.

Oh word?! Dat'd be awesome! If you can get me one of dose two den that'd save me weeks trekkin' all over da place. I know ones in dat color are hella hard'ta find too, so that's some majah time saved!

Da name's Joey Wheeler! Please ta meetcha!

[He thumps his fist against his chest as he says it.]

Okay, Mister Wheeler. My name’s Falco. I’ll give you a call when I’ve got some news.

[ oh, and he does get a lucky call sometime after that! falco sounds elated and breathless. ]

Awww yeah! Jackpot baby!

[Joey pumps the air with his fist.]

So you wanna meet-up somewhere den? You in Goldenrod or are ya' somewhere else, and how much ya want for da boys?

[grice]

I'm in Goldenrod! We can meet at the Pokemon Center, if that's okay? And for the price— They're going to be 1500P each.

Sounds good ta' me! You're fast at dis breedah thing doe. Thanks ta' you da whole squad's gonna be togetha!

[Joey smiles and gives him a thumbs-up.]

You da' best man!

[ that's not the first compliment he's received at being fast. of course, it took some time and work, the right contacts and the correct stroke of luck— but he still bows his head humbly. ]

Thank you. I'll see you there— And I'll bring one of the parents, so you could meet him. Just look for a black Charizard, like the one you wanted.

[ he's at the designated pokemon center, and by his side is a rather large, black-scaled charizard with a stern, almost judging expression as he looked around and waited for joey. he had to see who was taking two of the babies he had a part in, thank you! ]

[[My apologies for the delay in tags. I've been working to get the Journal Pages for Lucius and Joey actually presentable and that's been far more demanding than I expected. For Lucius at least, the end is in sight though so his Journal is finally looking good.]]

Oh wha? I getta meet Mama or Papa Dragon too? Heck yeah! I'll see ya der then!

[Joey enters the Pokémon Center looking as clean-cut and well-dressed as he knows how to, sporting a blazered outfit and acting as formally as if he was meeting a friend's parents for the first time. Spotting the Charizard, he approaches the pair.]

Uh... good ta meet ya Falco and... uh... Mistah or Missus Draggin'!

[He holds out his hand to shake.]

[grice]

[ falco takes the hand offered rather than nervously waiting for the charizard to do it. zera slowly lifts himself up and inspects the human package with sniffs, and heated, smokey snorts. ]

Y-you too— Ah, this is Zera. He was the clutch’s sire . . .

[ zera isn’t exactly rude about this meeting, but he’s certainly intimidating in his own right. falco’s glad he’s even listened to, but those are just the perks of being a breeder—! ]

—He’s not acting upset, so that’s a good thing! Ready to meet your Pokémon?

[ from his bag, falco pulls out to minimized pokeballs with little stickers on them. one is blue, the other is red. ]

[Joey's well-accustomed to being around big dragons, but the strength radiating from Zera is impressive even by the standards of all the Pokémon he's seen thus far.]

Woah. Good ta meetcha Mistah Zera!

[He inclines his head towards the Charizard.]

I sure am! I brought wahm travel cases for da eggs too, so we can travel in style!

[grice]

[ oh . . . falco seems to look for these said travel cases on joey, to which— he can't really help smiling sheepishly. ]

I'm sorry, Mister Wheeler— they're already hatched. I can't tell which are going to be shiny if they're eggs, unfortunately. I hope that's okay.

Oh word?! Dat's even bettah den!

[Joey gives a surprised-but-satisfied expression ]

Means I get'ta meet da little dudes right away!

[ at least he looks happy—! with less tension around the shoulders after joey’s okay, falco releases the two baby pokémon from their containers, and yes— both of them, charmander and totodile have an undoubted shimmer to their scales. ]

They’re both boys— and the Totodile has its Hidden Ability.

[Joey's eyes glisten as he seees the little Pokemon. He beams with the same excitement as a new father.]

Well hey little guys!

[He crouches-down to their level.]

I'm Joey and it looks like I'm gonna be ya trainah. We're gonna go right to da top, you n' me, so it's great ta meetcha!

[He finishes his statement by spreading his arms in an inviting manner. Should the Pokemon feel comfortable enough with him, he'd then move to hug them.]
