[The feed opens on Joey and a Bisharp standing in front of a slot machine. Both wear ecstatic expressions as the machine dispenses coin-after-coin, and Joey holds a confused looking Dratini above his head as he cheers. Noise from the other machines and patrons occasionally cuts through the pair's exultation, but the majority of sound pouring through the feed comes from their cheers.]

Yo we did it! We made out like bandits!

[Joey thrusts the Dratini forward for the camera to see.]

Me and Hermos here have been killin' it on da slots, so dis lil' jackpot here marks twelve and a half grand we've managed to carve out! We got ourselves a big ol' chunk'a change and scored dis' heckin' baloon animal-lookin' Pokémon too! There's no stoppin' da wheels on da Joey Train!

Dratini? Heh. Now that takes some serious luck. ...Or patience. Maybe both.

[He chuckles. Not much of a gambling guy, but he can appreciate the effort, at least.]

Gonna take just as much patience to train, but if you can power through it, you'll get a serious powerhouse out of it. Dragonite's no slouch when it comes to power and versatility.

I gotta go with both on dis front. I'd say Hermos here brought da luck. I just brought da coins and da patience.

[Joey lowers the Dratini onto his shoulders so he can use his arms. The little dragon still looks a bit alarmed by the lights and sounds of the Game Corner, but snuggles into his collar much better than it did held aloft.]

I'm lookin forward to training da little guy! I been lookin' through da Pokédex and saw he grows real big! When I saw him I knew, doe', dat he was exactly what I needed on da team.

[Joey reaches into a pouch and his belt, producing a trading card and showing it to the camera.]

Dis here's "Hundred Dragon". While not as strong as da "Thousand Dragon" he can grow into, da fact dat dis little guy turns into da hard-hittin' battlebud I know and love is fantastic news!

Huh. If you told me that was some undiscovered Pokemon, I'd almost believe you.

[Riku chuckles- he can definitely see the resemblance, at least.]

Guess it's not that big of a stretch, though. I've met people who came from worlds that had Pokemon video games. Monster cards are pretty tame by comparison.

[Joey pulls a couple more cards out of his pouch. An enormous whale, a crocodile monster, and a large black dragon are soon shown to the camera.]

Deez' are da rest of the guys I'm addin' to the squad! Once da whole gang's together der's gonna be no stoppin' da Joey train! I saw in da Pokédex dat a lotta them staht in baby forms doe', so I got my work cut out for me in gettin' dem all beefed-up and ready to kick some butt.
