[[Hey folks. I wanted to preface this by notifying you that this post is supposed to go out to those individuals who play/participate in the Yu-Gi-Oh game of Duel Monsters. If you're character is from a Yu-Gi-Oh series then (obviously) you're likely familiar with it but, if your character has learned of while here in Victory Road, then that could work as well. Either way though, this is supposed to be a gathering for the cardsharks to be able to engage their favorite game so please bear that in mind.]]

[The feed boots up from what appears to be the booth of a fast-food restaurant. Red-and-white decor and wide windows can be seen all around, as well as the beeps and boops of the checkout counter, but an excited blonde youth occupies the center of the broadcast.]

Hey der duelists! Joey Wheeler comin' to ya live from Goldenrod again! I just got back from finishin' da tour'a Johto so it's time ta kick back and enjoy da holidays! Every time Christmas rolls around I always get da pahty bucket from da local chicken joint n' gatha' round with my friends, so imagine my surprise when I find out dey got pretty much da same place here in da Pokémon world!

[Joey pans the camera around the restaurant lobby.]

So, I got an invitation to all my fellow duelists: Seems der's a pretty good chunka people who play Duel Monstahs in dis world, so I figured it'd be a good time if we all got togetha and got some propah duels in! Sure der's Pokémon battles here in dis place, but nothin beats a good ol' game'a Duel Monstahs. If you're all jonesin' as hard as I am den's der a resahvation at da Goldenrod K.F.T. by da Bike Shop on Christmas Day! Dinnah's on me fa dose' who wanna come, so hit me up if you're lookin' ta join!

[Grinning widely, Joey salutes the camera in an exaggerated fashion before cutting the feed.]

It has been. I talked about it a long time ago and taught a few people the basics but nothing more came from it. Honestly, Chenzira's the only one I play regularly with. Even then, I'm splitting my deck so it's not exactly the best way to go about it for the full experience...

[Marik glances off screen and frowns for a moment. He's already had to leave the little guy at home during his date... Leaving him behind for something pertaining to Duel Monsters pulls at his heart strings even if the Yamask himself understands Joey's reasoning and is completely fine with it.]

... Mn. I'll agree to that only if we take a ton of photos so I can show Chen when we get back.

Oh man dat would be awesome. If we could get some cool pics'a all da people playin' duel monstahs den not only would it make for some good memories, but maybe it would get otha people interested in playin'!

[Joey claps his hands together in exclamation but then, after realizing something about what Marik had said, looks at the camera in surprise.]

Dood. Did ya say that you play Duel Monstahs with ya Pokemon? Dat's friggin amazin'!

Then I'll ask if one of the employees is alright snapping a couple of group photos for us. I can manage the rest of the photo taking.

[Blinkblink. Oh. That is unusual, isn't it? He's so used to just playing with Chen that it's become an after thought. Marik smiles as he scoops the Yamask from off screen and sets him on his shoulder, to which he blinks, looks up at the feed, and waves. It's the guy that gave them a ride that seems to ruffle Marik's feathers from time to time. Hello!]

Ah, yeah. This is Chenzira. You've met him before. He can't read the text very well but he's memorized the pictures and my explanations so he can associate that with the correct cards. Obviously he only has experience with my deck but he's gotten the basics down.

So dat little guy can play Duel Monstahs? Dat's badass. One'a dese days we should have a propah little club so dat everyone can play, cuz' if Pokémon can play den dat's a game changeah. Sure da cahd situation is uh... tight... but I'm sure if we pool what we got den we could make do.

[H-He's badass? Joey gets to watch as Chen slowly sinks down behind Marik to hide his face. Ohhh.... No...]

Radley's got his Eevee Café we could meet at. He and I talked a long time ago about starting something up but never got around to it.

Hopefully we can drum up some interest in duelin' over da Christmas pahty and den, come da spring, we can all get ta enjoy some propah Duel Monstahs! Dis whole Pokémon thing is fun and all, don't get me wrong, but it just ain't da same as throwin' down in a propah Duel.

I hope so. At least we have a guaranteed location we know we can meet at in the future, and Goldenrod is centralized enough that it would be easy for everyone to travel to.
