[The 'gear view opens upon a vast expanse of those peculiarly textured magazines you can find in plastic stands on street corners, listing in vaguely blurry text various selling points of real estate. The view lifts, and you can see it's not so much a vast expanse as it is just a tabletop covered with them. Across the way from the person holding the 'gear is G'rhyf Kett, focused on a column of offers in one of the magazines, and the camera lingers for a moment on the image of their concentrated visage before they blink and look up, a bit bewildered before their nose crinkles and they chuckle.]

What're you doing, Raha?

[A sheepish laugh comes from behind the camera.] A thought occurred to me, is all - would you indulge me for a moment?

Just a moment?

Y-Yes, just a moment. [With a clearing of the throat, G'raha turns his 'gear around. He looks a bit tired, eyes reddish...well, besides his irises, I mean. It's likely he's been thumbing through real estate periodicals for hours to get that kind of look to him.] G'rhyf and I have been engaging in...well, I suppose it could be the closest thing to what adventurers like to call "Housing: Savage" - jovially of course - on our star. We thought, since we have both been designated as breeders, that it was only right we have a dedicated space for that - a sort of ranch, perhaps? Not the kind that's a one-level house in a neighborhood, but one with a field and some natural points of interest. Someplace where our Pokemon feel comfortable and at ease.

Yeah, now if only we could pick someplace...

Exactly, therein lies the problem - even with the scope of our search limited to two regions of this world, we simply cannot decide what area would be best. So...I thought, would we not benefit by asking the opinion of others who have been here longer? Who, say, might already have their own similar homes? Where would you elect to have such a ranch?

Please do, I don't want to read the thousandth specification of a building only to find it's absolutely impossibly expensive - that and, this paper is incredibly shoddy. G'rhyf, your hands aren't covered in ink, are they?

Oh! That would be a delightful goal. Then, if you would like... I have a few from Hisui myself. If you would like, I could have one of my psychic types speak with them, and give an idea of the kind of things that would work best for them.

You mean, as in what sort of home they would prefer...? That would be an incredible boon! I...

Some psychic types, with some training and perseverance, can learn to communicate with humans by using their abilities to speak to them directly. Although it can be - awkward, initially.

Of course, all of my companions also know how to write in the Fodlish tongue, so that would also have been an option even if they did not have those powers.

Oh, yes. It takes some time and effort, and some may adjust to it better... For example, I enlist the help of a Munna to help me sleep, and he seems to have picked it up fairly decently simply by devouring my dreams.

But in theory, any can learn.

[G'raha pauses and thinks about this.]

...Somehow, I can only imagine my Wyrdeer with the voice of his namesake. And that's...incredibly strange.

Well, that may end up being an influence on him, I suppose. They are intune to your mind, and such a thing may happen subconsciously, on both your end and his.

For what it is worth, I cannot recall where exactly Kent picked up his choice of mental voice. It could have been from anywhere, especially since he has many references to pick from outside of my dreams - the television, or things on the internet, or people we have spoken to once in passing.

I think Silkie was perhaps.... more finetuned into her approach. [Because that's the kind of perfectionist Silkiee is.] As an Indeedee, she is very aware of people's comfort levels.

[Excuse G'raha he's still having a "Oh gods my Pokemon is going to sound like someone I know" moment.]

...If he uses that voice to speak to everyone...gods, Krile would never let me live it down, he's her grandfather...

[Ah. He sees what's going on here, now. Dimitri smiles a little bit.]

Then, you may wish to speak with him on what kind of voice he uses, to ensure he does not embarrass you. I am sure that if you have a good relationship, it will be easy to handle.

No, no, knowing him I would explain the situation and he'd take to doing the voice for fun, specifically because I asked him not to...he's very kindhearted but incredibly stubborn.

Ah.... I think I am familiar very much with types such as those...

[Mononoke.... Really, Dimitri should be glad that he mainly choose to steal his own face, rather than that of anyone else's, unless he really has mischief planned.]

[Which sucks, because he adores Krile, she's lovely and wonderful and a great friend but she would never let him live this down.]
