Thanks to your tremendous assistance and suggestions... my problem has been sorted. And wonderfully so.

[While he speaks, something sparkles in his hair. Is he wearing glitter in his hair? It looks like it's splattered onto the door, too. While he turns to open it, to reveal what's behind - in as dramatic a fashion as possible - more glitter seems to flake off.]

[But more important than that is the absolute unit of a shiny Scolipede hanging out on the porch. Preening.]

Ta-daa~!

[... and when Shadowmaru gestures towards his pokemon, there's a spray of glitter off his arm. Thanks, Snorunts.]

I'm familiar with the type. I cared for one myself during a previous visit. [There's a bit of a pained pause, Angel wincing just a tad.] I - I hope wherever Sweetpea wound up after I left, it's happy.

[Mando hangs up. A scant few seconds later, there's the pounding of giant wrassle cat feet, as Loth-Cat comes rip-roaring out from behind a stand of trees down the road and flings herself at Scolipede with a cheerful roar.]

[Mando follows more sedately behind.]

We were already in the neighborhood, as it turns out.

[Ha ha, he was coming to visit when Shadowmaru posted, and just happened to have Loth-Cat with him. A happy coincidence for everyone!]

[Scolipede whips its head around so fast you can almost hear the "!" sound. Seeing Loth-Cat coming, it charges too. Despite the charge, it looks delighted with this development. Come on! Bring it! Make it stronger!!]

[Shadowmaru leans against the porch railing, grinning.]

Goodness. What a coincidence this is. I'm not even prepared of guests.

[And now there's a full-blown wrestling match taking place on Shadowmaru's lawn. Mando sidesteps it and joins Shadowmaru on the porch. He looks up and down the length of it, then back at his boyfriend.]

Where's Oberon?

[This much glitter must mean the Type: Null is nearby, right?]

[He blinks, clearly not expecting this question to be the first thing Mando utters...]

[Let Mando soothe that with a headbonk. A short one, though, since he's been outside and his helmet is probably cold.]

There's a lot of glitter around, that's all. I thought he must be out here playing.
