Event: The Reveal Glass

Across the Pokémon world, characters may have spotted a falling star last night. Or at least, one would think that's what it was: a naturally occurring phenomenon, rather than a legendary artifact. Specifically, the Reveal Glass fell to earth during a fight among a group of legendaries started by the return of a long-lost family member. But it's probably best to leave them to handle all that themselves, while your characters deal with other consequences.
The Reveal Glass shattered upon impact, and the shards scattered throughout Kanto, Johto, and the Sevii Islands… And made their way into the hearts of your characters. But bleeding isn't the concern here. Instead, the impact will hit when a character first looks into any reflective service. An eerie feeling hits them as they're transported to the Mirror Dimension.
While this realm can be many different things for different characters, one thing is always true: It is a place of honesty, where true selves are revealed. Those struck by a shard will find themselves facing truths they are no longer able to hide, and now must accept. Fortunately enough, even those who haven't been struck will be able to enter the Mirror Dimension during this event via a reflective surface to offer help. By the end of the 29th, things will return to normal. Characters will be back in the usual Pokémon world and their hearts will be rid of the shards, but time is strange in the Mirror Dimension, and the experience may feel like it goes on far longer than a day. Or, maybe that's just the emotional exhaustion.
The Reveal Glass plot is here. You can swing by the event info post for additional details and FAQ, and play out your characters’ enforced therapy on this post. As with most VR events, this plot is entirely optional and your characters don't need to take part at all.

[Ryou looks around again, vaguely recognizing the setting as Cairo (1980s Cairo isn't that far off from 1991 Cairo, after all, even with the destruction around them), then decides that if Jotaro has to be honest, then he'll be honest too.
After all, it's only fair, and Ryou's already been forced to be honest today as it is.]
...I had to deal with a curse too, before coming here. [One hand reaches for a Ring that isn't there as Ryou waits to see how Jotaro responds, briefly closing on air before he realizes and lowers it.]

He doesn't realise how literal Ryou is being.]How did that turn out for you? Did you defeat it? Or is it haunting you?
[As he says that, Jotaro's shadow flickers to that of a man with long hair and a cruel, exaggerated smile. The vampire's legacy has haunted Jotaro for so long it's how he sees himself - someone desperately trying to chase a ghost. It's pathetic, really, and Jotaro looks at his shadow in disgust before he spits down on the ground.]
No matter what I do, it seems I can never get rid of the stain this man was.

[But he still affects Ryou's actions. He still feels he has to prove he's the good Bakura, long after the torment ended. And by the sounds of things, by the looks of things, Jotaro might be having similar thoughts.]
...It sounds like we went through something similar. The Spirit who hurt me, he...he tried to kill my friends, and I felt like I couldn't be close to anyone because of that. Is that like what happened to you?

Somewhat... Even after his death, DIO's followers were still causing problems around the world. I've spent my life trying to get rid of him. And yet, people kept getting hurt. [He looks to the silver-haired man without limbs] I ended up pushing my wife and daughter away to try and keep them safe. And even then a man who worshipped DIO still got to my daughter. Because of me.

[He gets it all too well, the idea that if you push others away enough, then they won't be hurt by your tormentor.]
I'm sorry, by the way. Losing family never gets easier. [He gets that too.]

... [He sighs. He recognises that Ryou is familiar with what he's been through, there's no point being secretive or trying to push him away.]
She's happy in Sevii. The Pokemon world, you know? We both died and yet by some miracle we're both here... But she's grown up. Married. Successful. Independent. I feel like I'm messing up by being around, despite not needing to push her away.
... I'm tired.
