Touring about Goldenrod City oh boy! (OTA)
Who: Cali and whoever she runs into :D
What: Enjoying her time in Goldenrod City before travel to Ecruteak City begins with Loop (and maybe catching a Stufful if Cali is lucky enough)
When: Backdated to May 10th to May 16th
Where: Goldenrod City :3
I would like to reach out with my hand (May 10th to the 13th at the Pokemon Center)
Cali is back to work at the Pokemon Center as a medical assistant! April Tenth and the Eleventh had been relatively calm days save for the disgruntled Pikachu with electrical build up going on (He got a bit that one does holy moly). The Twelfth though, that’s when poo hits the fan when the JUMPLUFFS arrived. The Pokemon Center is overrun with pokemon dealing with the worst case of allergies imaginable, attacks and abilities going haywire in the center. Cali and Battenberg certainly are having a time of things with the allergy cases. Good news (or bad if you’re not a fan of high energy), Cali is still as upbeat as ever as she goes to cheerily greet whoever is waiting in line.
“Hi, how may I help you out today?”
(Be sure to mention if you want allergies or the biting Pikachu)
I may see you, I may tell you to run (May 14 in National Park)
It was supposed to be a nice little walk in the National Park, especially since Sweet Sixteen had been mostly a sulking old man lately. But alas..JUMPLUFF happened and turns out, the salty Appletun has seasonal allergies. There came the low hums, something akin to a wasp, as the area smelled of fresh baked apple pie from Sweet Scent. Both Cali and Sweet Sixteen froze for a moment as they looked behind to see not one, not two, but three Beedrill coming out of the woodworks. Without having to take a second thought, Cali picks up Sweet Sixteen, holding him like a football, before booking it with three very hungry Beedrill following along.
The wind is picking up and the smell of fresh baked apple pie is strong, oh hey…I think I hear running…now who would be running on a day like this?
“Holy smokes, RUN!”
You know what they say about the young (May 15th Touring Goldenrod City)
It didn’t matter if it was insanely rainy out, Cali is determined to have a bit of fun out in Goldenrod City now that she has some time to enjoy the fun parts of it! Armed with a rain poncho covered in cartoony looking Bellossoms dotting its surface, a grumpy old apple dragon, a nervous Buneary, and high energy, Cali goes to check out the attractions in Goldenrod City like the highly questionable Game Corner, Sports Stadium, and The Radio Station! Boy golly Cali, you sure picked a pretty poor time to go touring in the rain!
Send me on my way, on my way (May 16th Going out to Eat)
At last, the final day in Goldenrod City has arrived and of course, it’s gonna be celebrated with a nice dinner out with the team! Downside, it's nighttime and this is Goldenrod City as Cali, in her rain poncho, goes to navigate with her two pokemon on where the diner is exactly. It’s been a while since she last chatted with the owner back at the Pokemon Contest as Sweet Sixteen grumbles in frustration over it. Chantilly could only look at Sweet Sixteen in shock over the language he was using over the situation, covering her ears a bit. Be it wise or unwise, much to Sweet Sixteen’s horror, Cali decided it was a fine idea to ask someone for a bit of hand.
“Sorry to bother, but do you know where the Eevee Diner is?”
WILDCARD! (Please feel free to toss in something else you’d like to do or even PM/Plurk me at Dolly_Mancer to brainstorm an idea :’>)

["Hi Lilo, I'm Chantilly and that's Sweet Sixteen over there." Chantilly happily pointed out, "Darwin is our family unit's Archen."]
no subject
["Oh! I know some Archens," Lilo says cheerfully. "They're pretty."]
no subject
["Right? Darwin is really pretty, I hope Cali calls him out soon with the others for dinner." Chantilly agreed merrily.]
no subject
["Yeah! We'll have a big yummy dinner!" Evie exclaims.]
no subject
["Oooh! I love the idea of a big dinner together!" Chantilly was on board for that one with Evie.]
no subject
[Sabrina the Espurr floats a menu over.
"Yeah! We do it every night!" Evie beams.]
no subject
["That's so awesome! We typically share a meal together when traveling, but this is a first time getting to do a diner." Chantilly perks up upon seeing Darwin come out of his PokeBall and waves him over]
no subject
He chuckles. “One minute we were here, the next we showed up at Prom. So at least we didn’t have any sense of lost time.”
[The Eevees happily greet the other Pokemon.
“Hi!” says Lilo to Darwin.]
no subject
"That's a relief to hear, lost time can be a bit scary to be honest."
[Darwin perks up upon being greeted, "Oh! Hello new friend!"]
no subject
And then he looks concerned at the next statement. "You've had lost time before?"
["I'm Lilo! Do you like our new world?" she asks.]
no subject
"I call it that anyways, but it's more like fatigue when you're on Orion 34. Due to the perpetual overcast and being out in the wastelands, time just seems to stop existing all together."
[Darwin perks up at someone else from the old world, "It's been great so far! Though not a lot of trees to nest in I'm afraid to say."]
no subject
He listens with a frown. "That sounds pretty freaky alright, especially if you're all alone."
["There's so many buildings and people!" Lilo says. "But there's pretty trees here at home and at the big parks!"]
no subject
"It is, that's why we always have a group we go with either in the medical field or if you're scavenging. There are always safety in numbers along with keeping oneself grounded during prolonged travel." Cali doesn't blame Radley for frowning one bit, it's a pretty freaky thing too to have happen.
["I've heard about that place! Sweet Sixteen was talking about that some days ago..I think he nearly got hunted down by Beedrills? Not sure what those are, I'm guessing they're Aerodactyls for this new world?" Darwin tilts his noggin a bit, trying to figure out what a Beedrill was.]
no subject
He looks relieved to hear people don't go alone in that creepy place. "Good to know," he says. "Does anybody ever get lost?"
["They're really big bugs!" Evie says. "They're mean a lot. I'm not sure why."
Lilo nods. "I've seen them. They're like Aerodactyls in personality, sometimes."]
no subject
Cali strangely gets a bit more serious about that one though, it was something that had been given procedures on back home, "We've had one or two go missing, but that was mostly due to wandering off from the main group or even entering one of the abandoned buildings from the old settlement. Most of the time, everyone comes back alright, though they need some screenings and certain supplements post scavenging."
[Darwin looked rather shocked about that one, bugs were normally for eatin', not the other way around poor Dino bird, "That sounds positively dreadful! No wonder Sweet Sixteen was in a foul mood."]
no subject
He sobers too. “Wow. That must be a really dangerous place.”
[“Yeah! Meeting them is scary,” Evie says.]
no subject
Cali goes to get her mask off for meal time, "It really is, just I don't understand why anyone would want to go inside of the old settlement buildings."
["Woah no wonder! Sweets nearly got eaten by them." Darwin looks over at Sweet Sixteen who looks like a Deerling in headlights at the moment.]
no subject
"I guess some people are crazy curious even in places like that," he says.
["That's so awful!" Evie exclaims. "But we're safe here!" She beams.]
no subject
"There's that and desperation, when imports day comes, things like clothing or even new materials are held in auctions to the highest bidder having the hardest to find item. It's awful."
["That really is awful, I'm just glad Sweets wasn't eaten." Darwin goes to pat Sweet Sixteen who still is trying to piece together how the topic went into being nearly eaten by Beedrill. They don't eat dragons..right?]
no subject
"That really sound like a mess," Radley says. "Malcolm would've gone in for a racket like that, no question about it."
["Yeah! Everything's okay and nothing bad will happen with Radley here," Evie says in complete innocence. She believes that with all her heart.]
no subject
"It is, but it's a mess I was raised in my whole life.." Cali explained before looking up, "Oh?" Who was this Malcolm, that is a scary thought of racketeers..
[ "...Thanks kid?" Was all that Sweet Sixteen could muster as he now faced the existential realization he was this close to being nommed by Beedrills. Darwin goes to preen Sweet Sixteen in a comforting way.]
no subject
"It sounds kinda like the people in Satellite back home," Radley remarks. "Some of them only knew messes like that. A lot of people took advantage of the situation there and also in Crash Town, where I was living. Malcolm was one of those."
[Some of the other Pokemon go to try to comfort Sweet Sixteen too.]
no subject
There comes a moment in Cali's mind of 'There were exile colonies on Radley's version of Earth? That's horrible..'
"Malcolm sounds like a very unkind soul, I'm sorry you had to deal with someone like that back home. Satellite and Crash Town sounds like my home on Orion 34.." Cali was mortified that someone could be like that towards their fellow man..oh you sweet summer child..
[Sweet Sixteen allows the comfort..his heart shrunk three sizes that day from the revelation..Sweets..are you like the reverse Grinch buddy?]
no subject
Satellite definitely fit that description.
"He is that for sure," Radley says. "And I've heard he's shown up here from time to time. Hopefully only on those weird weekends."
[Some of the Eevees start purring. Purrs are supposed to be comforting and healing after all!]
no subject
The mental image of Orion 34 and Satellite shaking hands furiously was a strong one in Cali's mind of how closely similar they were.
"Oh dear, I'll have my fingers crossed too. He just sounds throughly unpleasant." Cali learned what fear was that day as she listens on.
[Sweet Sixteen allows it, it's free warmth for his cold bones anyways.]
