Touring about Goldenrod City oh boy! (OTA)

What: Enjoying her time in Goldenrod City before travel to Ecruteak City begins with Loop (and maybe catching a Stufful if Cali is lucky enough)
When: Backdated to May 10th to May 16th

I would like to reach out with my hand (May 10th to the 13th at the Pokemon Center)

Cali is back to work at the Pokemon Center as a medical assistant! April Tenth and the Eleventh had been relatively calm days save for the disgruntled Pikachu with electrical build up going on (He got a bit that one does holy moly). The Twelfth though, that’s when poo hits the fan when the JUMPLUFFS arrived. The Pokemon Center is overrun with pokemon dealing with the worst case of allergies imaginable, attacks and abilities going haywire in the center. Cali and Battenberg certainly are having a time of things with the allergy cases. Good news (or bad if you’re not a fan of high energy), Cali is still as upbeat as ever as she goes to cheerily greet whoever is waiting in line.

“Hi, how may I help you out today?”

I may see you, I may tell you to run (May 14 in National Park)

It was supposed to be a nice little walk in the National Park, especially since Sweet Sixteen had been mostly a sulking old man lately. But alas..JUMPLUFF happened and turns out, the salty Appletun has seasonal allergies. There came the low hums, something akin to a wasp, as the area smelled of fresh baked apple pie from Sweet Scent. Both Cali and Sweet Sixteen froze for a moment as they looked behind to see not one, not two, but three Beedrill coming out of the woodworks. Without having to take a second thought, Cali picks up Sweet Sixteen, holding him like a football, before booking it with three very hungry Beedrill following along.

The wind is picking up and the smell of fresh baked apple pie is strong, oh hey…I think I hear running…now who would be running on a day like this?

“Holy smokes, RUN!”

You know what they say about the young (May 15th Touring Goldenrod City)

It didn’t matter if it was insanely rainy out, Cali is determined to have a bit of fun out in Goldenrod City now that she has some time to enjoy the fun parts of it! Armed with a rain poncho covered in cartoony looking Bellossoms dotting its surface, a grumpy old apple dragon, a nervous Buneary, and high energy, Cali goes to check out the attractions in Goldenrod City like the highly questionable Game Corner, Sports Stadium, and The Radio Station! Boy golly Cali, you sure picked a pretty poor time to go touring in the rain!

Send me on my way, on my way (May 16th Going out to Eat)

At last, the final day in Goldenrod City has arrived and of course, it’s gonna be celebrated with a nice dinner out with the team! Downside, it's nighttime and this is Goldenrod City as Cali, in her rain poncho, goes to navigate with her two pokemon on where the diner is exactly. It’s been a while since she last chatted with the owner back at the Pokemon Contest as Sweet Sixteen grumbles in frustration over it. Chantilly could only look at Sweet Sixteen in shock over the language he was using over the situation, covering her ears a bit. Be it wise or unwise, much to Sweet Sixteen’s horror, Cali decided it was a fine idea to ask someone for a bit of hand.

“Sorry to bother, but do you know where the Eevee Diner is?”

Radley smiles. "They'll be ready in a jiffy."

"It sounds kinda like the people in Satellite back home," Radley remarks. "Some of them only knew messes like that. A lot of people took advantage of the situation there and also in Crash Town, where I was living. Malcolm was one of those."

[Some of the other Pokemon go to try to comfort Sweet Sixteen too.]

"Thank you, they sound amazing." Cali smiles right back, she was excited to try out the dishes.

There comes a moment in Cali's mind of 'There were exile colonies on Radley's version of Earth? That's horrible..'

"Malcolm sounds like a very unkind soul, I'm sorry you had to deal with someone like that back home. Satellite and Crash Town sounds like my home on Orion 34.." Cali was mortified that someone could be like that towards their fellow man..oh you sweet summer child..

[Sweet Sixteen allows the comfort..his heart shrunk three sizes that day from the revelation..Sweets..are you like the reverse Grinch buddy?]

Radley smiles. "We love them around here."

Satellite definitely fit that description.

"He is that for sure," Radley says. "And I've heard he's shown up here from time to time. Hopefully only on those weird weekends."

[Some of the Eevees start purring. Purrs are supposed to be comforting and healing after all!]

Cali smiled brightly for that one, her hot pink pupils dilating in excitement for the meal to come, "That's amazing to hear."

The mental image of Orion 34 and Satellite shaking hands furiously was a strong one in Cali's mind of how closely similar they were.

"Oh dear, I'll have my fingers crossed too. He just sounds throughly unpleasant." Cali learned what fear was that day as she listens on.

[Sweet Sixteen allows it, it's free warmth for his cold bones anyways.]

"I've made a lot of meals through the years, but I don't think I've ever found anything that tops potato and cheese together," Radley smiles.

He sobers and nods with a frown. "I haven't ever run into him, but from people's descriptions, it was definitely him."

The food starts arriving, floated in by the Espurrs and set on the table.

"It's a hard one to top, potato and cheese is the best comfort food combination out there." Cali said, watching the meal be levitated in and onto the table.

Cali empathetically shutters a bit, "I'm glad you haven't run into him yet, Malcolm doesn't sound very nice at all to encounter."

[Sweet Sixteen gets up to go get food, his grumpy gramps bones needs food.]

"Oh yeah," Radley smiles.

All of his Pokemon are rushing to the table too.

"I sure had enough of encountering him back home," he says. "If he hasn't changed at all, and it sounded like he hadn't, I just wanna stay away."

[Sabrina the Espurr cuts portions of the food for everyone with telekinesis.]

Cali was floored by the meal as it gets divided out for serving as she situates the Princess Truffles for her meal time. Cali's Pokemon are not too far behind Radley's for the meal.

"I hope you avoid seeing him then, I'm sorry you have to hear about him from others." Cali felt pretty back for Radley as he did encounter Malcolm before hand..

[Sweet Sixteen's old bones made it to the table for dinner! VICTORY FOR THE OLD APPLE PIE DRAGON! He then flops onto his seat for the meal.]

Radley smiles. Sabrina is good at what she does.

"Yeah, I feel bad for anybody who's had to meet up with him," he remarks.

The Eevees are all bouncing their tails.

Radley chuckles. "Okay, everybody! Let's eat!"

The Eevees start in with glee.

"I would too, that's not a very nice experience to enjoy at all." Cali had to agree with Radley on that one, it really was a hard one to deal with.

Chantilly goes to try and bounce her tail along with the Eevees when the meal was announced ready to eat. Cali's Pokemon join in on eating the meal with Radley's.

"Oh woah these potatoes are awesome!" Cali's eyes lit up upon trying the cheesy potatoes.

"Yeah, no kidding."

Radley chuckles at the cute Pokemon antics and smiles at Cali's reaction to the food.

"Thanks," he says. "It's my own recipe."

Cali nodded before returning to eating, she's smiling brightly at how good it is.

"Your recipe is amazing! It’s like the perfect balance of cheese and potatoes.” Cali beamed brightly, she was in her happy place right now (then again, she’s always in her happy place).

Cali’s pokemon were adorable while eating, including (shockingly) old man Sweet Sixteen, he apparently has happy hums when he eats…that’s kinda cute..wow…

Radley grins. "That was my goal."

The Eevees sometimes make nom-nom sounds.

He chuckles, listening to all the cute sounds from all their Pokemon. "Sounds like everybody's enjoying it."

“Best goal ever to be honest.” Cali was a happy camper with this meal, it was insanely good…then again home cooked meals always are.

Cali watched merrily as the Pokemon ate their meals, cute sounds included…still shocking Sweet Sixteen managed to be cute for a change.

Chuckling, Cali agreed with Radley’s statement, “They really are, this is seriously adorable right now.”

Backups are good!

"Thanks. My friends back home agree too," Radley smiled.

He was amused that even Sweet Sixteen was getting into it. Cute indeed.

"I'll have to record a video." He took out his communicator to film a little bit of it.

“Your friends are incredibly lucky, I hope I can meet them some day.” Cali said hopefully, she would love to meet Radley’s friends one day, perhaps during the weird weekends.

It’s like going against the very laws of nature for Sweet Sixteen to be this adorable, he’s messing with the natural order right there…

“Ooh! Good idea! I’ll record this too.” Cali goes to get her PokeGear out to record this.

"I hope you can too," Radley said. "Oh, I've got some pictures of Scotch from that time he came here."

Definitely a surprise about Sweet Sixteen.

After he recorded the cuteness, he brought up pictures and videos of a tall, blond boy dancing with the Eevees at a Prom. He smiled fondly as he watched.

Cali perks up at the offer to see Radley's friends as she looks over to Radley to see the pictures, "Oh man that prom picture is super adorable!"

Sweet Sixteen has his moments as he relaxes after eating. No more cuteness from the salty apple pie, he's back to being a grumpy pants.

Radley grinned. "Scotch hit it off with all my Pokemon right away. Of course, I knew they'd get along."

Evie chirped happily. She liked Scotch a lot!

"Scotch is just so awesome! I can't wait to meet him at some point." Cali really liked how Scotch was handling the Eevee too, just too sweet for words.

Chantilly was curious about Scotch too, she's heard of him before back at the contest, but not much afterwards.

"I sure hope you can. He loved it when he was here." Radley smiled fondly. "He's so good with animals and they're nuts about him."

"Vee!" said Evie.

"I hope so too and I don't blame Scotch, this world is amazing." Cali beamed happily, "You know and I hope I get my book again, but I think Scotch may like my illustrated Europa wildlife book, that one is insanely awesome."

Cali truly does adore Eevee as she hears the cute 'Vee' come out from Evie.

“Oh, he sure would,” Radley smiled. “He loves learning about all kinds of animals.”

He loved hearing all the cute Eevee calls every day.

"Same, they're just so amazing and I love how diverse they can be too, like Javelinas and hippos being related, that one is amazing." Cali was excited to talk animals, they're seriously awesome.

Cali couldn't blame Radley, Eevee calls are seriously the cutest thing out there.

"What are Javelinas like?" Radley asked curiously.
