So, like, I noticed...

[Draculaura is outside, and her Pokemon (Noivern, Cofagrigus, Gengar) are propping up a few things - an umbrella? a lawn chair? blankets?. She's dressed in a stylish bathing suit, talking to the device.]

All of that stuff that's blocking the towns? Major bummer. I was thinking of going to the beach eventually, but, now it's like way too much trouble. So I thought I'd enjoy the best stuff about the beach here - the sunshine! I could never get a real tan back home.

But like, at the same time, all these new people logged onto the game! There are sooo many new friends to make, so, I say? Take the best of a bad situation! While you're waiting for the roads to clear, make some friends! We can learn a bunch of stuff from each other. Like, I'm the unofficial Monster Ambassador, so I can tell you all about monsters! Or boys, I know all about boys and romance. Or fashion! Doesn't this outfit look sooo cute?

[She twirls - and trips over the too short to notice Snubbul. She yelps, crashes into the set up the others had made, and everyone winds up on the pavement. The Snubbul shrugs, picking up the device in its mouth. Yum.]

[Eventually the mess gets cleared up, and Draculaura gets the 'vacay' she wants. She's propped up on the lawn chair, basking in the sunlight. Crobat occasionally fans her with his giant wings, Frosslas is the 'fridge' keeping sodas cool by hugging them, Gengar is eating the food from the picnic basket... hey! Bad!

But Draculaura doesn't seem to mind, sighing happily in the sun, eyes closed. It's an unusual sight... especially when it's in the middle of the city. Hope she's not blocking your way today.]

Oh, no, that's different! The Professor gives you the first one, and my first one was a Noibat! But some people here breed them and give away eggs!

[Her stupid blank face stares at the screen for a few moments. Professor? So there is a school around here? What's a Noibat? What's breeding? And whats-]

The eggs... Scrambled? Omelette? With sauce?

[Oh wow, Laura's the educated one. This is a first.]

No no, not for eating! See, all Pokemon come from eggs! So when two Pokemon like each other very very much, they have babies, and the babies are in the eggs!

[Mafuyu can't believe she's having this conversation. So Pokemon come from eggs... She can't imagine walking around with a carton of Pokemon eggs; they'd spoil in the heat. Or wait, chickens keep their eggs warm, don't they? Refrigerate, or...? Uhh. Better let the breeders handle it.

She shakes her head vigorously to cast her confusion aside, it doesn't matter because she wants to catch Pokemon, not hatch them.]

I guess it's easier than catching 'em, but I dunno if I can afford buying eggs. At home I had enough to get instant ramen and packaged bread when my allowance comes, but here I don't have any money.

You should catch a Meowth! They learn an attack called Pay Day, and every time they use it, you get cash, poof!

Can I find them here!? The fields outside the town we came out of? Can't get anywhere further without being chased out by some pissed off Pokemon. It's hard to catch anything at all 'cause they all run away from that thing, so there's barely anything around!

Um... well, I know for sure they're here in Goldenrod! They're, like, in every alleyway! They're not going anywhere. So, like, you can train until you're here so you can be ready to catch one!

[Damn it. She slams her fist down on her thigh in frustration off-camera, but Draculaura may still be able to hear it.]

Why's all the good stuff in Goldenrod!? Got a friend there I want to meet too, and he doesn't need the money, I do!!

[She looks down at her own Snubbull, who'd pressed her face against the forming bruise on her trainer's thigh. That's right. She isn't alone. When the two of them get to Goldenrod, they're going to catch every single Meowth there is.]

Isn't there a way to send one over? Or like... a delivery truck with eggs? Maybe I'll save up for one... How many days will I not get to eat.....

[Aw, she feels bad. There's a long train of thought... and then she nods firmly, standing up.]

I'll get you one! I have a Pokemon that knows Fly... maybe it can drop off the Pokeball for you!

[.........SHOUJO SPARKLES. There may also be tears in her eyes because now she won't starve to death.]

Really!? You'll do that?!? I've been blessed by a goddess!! Angel!! MESSIAH!!!!

[Hers is a bleeding heart, pun not intended.]

Where are you now? It might take Al Capone a few days to get there, but he'll go as fast as he can!

[It's a dream come true. Mafuyu will now die for you, Draculaura.]

I dunno where this place is called, but outside the town where the path splits north and west? There's a building there to the north I've been staying at!

[Even if she can't get to Cherrygrove, it might have been better for her to stay in New Bark instead of in the middle of nowhere between Route 29 and Route 46. But she's on a mission to catch Pokemon, and she can't do that laying in bed all day.]

Well, Al Capone is pretty smart, I'm sure he'll find you!

We can think of it as a trade. Maybe someday you can give me something back... But I'm in no rush!

((OOC: in about 3 to 5 days, a Murkrow will drop off a bedazzled Pokeball containing a Lvl 10 Meowth!))

[It's Christmas and her birthday all rolled up into one; Mafuyu's going to catch her the best Pokemon in the world, whatever she wants.]

Is there anything you're especially lookin' for? I'm going to catch all of them! Every single species that exists in the world!

[She thinks about this...]

Oh! There's a super cute bat Pokemon with a heart shaped nose! I want it sooo much! It would be my all time favorite Pokemon!

[That does sound super cute! A heart shaped nose would be hard to miss, so Mafuyu commits this one to memory to keep an eye out for one]

A heart nosed bat, huh? [that means] So you like heart Pokemon?

Well, I like hearts... but it's the Bat part that is the best! I looove bats! I wish I could be a bat again!

[... so, this may be a little less 'messiah' and a little more 'monster' than you thought.]

[Mafuyu would've followed up with 'I love bats too!' but it becomes clear that Draculaura is talking about the little winged mammals, and not wooden bats Mafuyu used to swing around and fight with.]

Huh? Bat...? Did'ya have a heart nose too?

I wish! ... Actually, I'm not sure. I've only ever been a bat twice, and both times I couldn't see my reflection. I mean I normally couldn't see my reflection anyway, but no one told me, but then it was a pretty busy time both times, and we were all shocked by what happened and then were was a movie to see and dancing and...

[Blah blah blah blah a million words per minute.]

[Bats, reflections, movies, dancing, all these words go in one ear and out the other, she can't keep up to make sense of it all. Mafuyu doesn't want to interrupt either, so she just... shuts her brain off.]

[Let her talk.]

[This goes on for a WHILE. Something about the vampire queen and an evil count and going to England? France? And parties on the moon? But eventually Noivern taps her on the head.]

- Huh? ... Oh, wow, I could use a soda. I feel parched for some reason!

[There's that feeling like when you pick up a textbook and read all the words but none of the content actually sticks, so Mafuyu jumps at the break in her rant.]

Oh! Uh. Sounds like your life's lots of fun! Can I ask? Are you an actress? 'Cause you're super pretty, and... well...

[There's a lot of alarming words in what she caught from all of that, namely vampires... The closest thing is what Mafuyu's seen on TV, so that's got to be it, right?]

[She blinks, and blushes, giggling.]

Awwww, you're so sweet! No, I've never acted! I'm no good at that. I'm more of a 'behind the screams' type of ghoul.

[Nothing in there is a typo.]

[If she were more perceptive, maybe Mafuyu would have read more into that, but verbal quirks are easier to dismiss and forget. Especially when a pretty girl is laughing and calling her sweet; she can feel her face growing warm in response, along with the impulse to disagree that Draculaura can be anything but the greatest actor there ever is, born for the limelight of center stage.]

I think you'd be good! You could be a princess! Perfect! A natural! I'd cheer you on!

[More giggling, and she sways back and forth, just taking in all the praise.]

Well... I am joining Joker's circus! Maybe I could give performing just a little try?
