( Text/Action for New Bark Town )

( Text )

[While Luna has seen other people's video messages on the PokéGear, she's not sure if she's ready for her debut, especially without knowing how many people are here exactly.]

Hello, everyone. My name is Luna, and I've just arrived here. You have probably seen many messages like this one, but I have a few questions and I'd greatly appreciate some answers.

1) What is this place? I'm aware that this question isn't too precise, but any information will be of a great help.
2) Is there a doctor here?
3) Is breeding...what I think it is?

Thank you in advance,
Luna

( Action )

[While this town can't be called a big one no matter how you look at it, it's still a bit too much to Luna who after wandering around for an hour or two needs to rest, even if for a while. Thankfully, she notices a bench just after the exhaustion kicks in and sits on it while her Audino takes a seat by her side.]

Do you know what is going on here?

[Clearly, she's addressing her own Pokémon; it just tilts it's head in a response, not sure what Luna may be referring to.]

Oh, that's silly of me...you can't speak human language. I-I'm sorry.

[There's no reason for her to apologize and yet. Looking pensive, Luna lays her eyes on her hands as she takes turns curling them into fists and opening them. Audino seems to be watching over her all this time, but all of a sudden it scoots closer to Luna and presses it's ear against her, just like the Pokémon was performing physical examination.

Which, in fact, Audino does. With that done, it reaches to the backpack Luna has received before and pulls the boxed lunch out. In the meantime, she doesn't move much, wondering what Audino is up to. It becomes clear a little while later, when the Pokémon is holding up a sandwich, trying to feed it's trainer.]

B-But it's not—

[Audino is having none of it and puts the sandwich into her mouth. Moreover, it seems that it won't let her off the hook until she'll eat everything.]

1) Nah, there are other ways. You can take the ferry from New Bark Town. Flying's an option, too. Unfortunately, I've got a hunch the recent disasters are gonna hold off any region hopping for a little while, even by water or air.

2) Best thing I can say is to keep an eye out. One thing I've noticed is that people sometimes come in waves. Not always, but it does seem like a trend.

3) Well, I'm not sure there's a scientific way to explain endless music and a fish turning into a giant serpent. This place is weird. Actually, that's probably an understatement.

And hey, don't sell yourself too short! I think this world's got plenty of opportunities, and the Pokémon definitely help. Doesn't take much to get by here, and training's really straightforward once you get the hang of it.

1) Heh, thanks. I might see about helping clear the damage soon. SOra and I were actually thinking of hitting the earlier routes in case you newbies are struggling, but I'll have to double check with him.

2) Hmm... New Bark's the most common, but I've seen some people show up in Goldenrod. It's not as common, and it usually means bad news, but it's worth pointing out.

And it's not just exercise. Pokémon get stronger through battle. Heck, it's the only way a lot of them can reach maturity. Might sound a bit dicey, but it's part of the local culture, and the fights usually don't get too brutal.

1) Then consider it done. We should probably scoop up some supplies while we're at it. Potions, Antidotes... Whatever you guys need to stay safe.

2) It's closer than some of the other cities, but still a bit of a trip. As for bad news, I'm talking Team Rocket. Criminal organization, probably wants world domination.

And yet if they don't get levels, they'll stay small. They won't learn new attacks. It's definitely weird.

Rockets have done a lot of things in the past. Theft. Terrorism. Train jacking. Probably illegal experiments, too, but I'm less sure on that.

Point being, this place CAN be dangerous besides natural disasters.

They just haven't done anything in a while.

We've tried. Trouble is, we don't know how to hit them where it counts, and since they're so quiet these days, it's tough to predict their next moves.

There's actually a group dedicated to fighting the Rockets.

Or there was. Truth is, there hasn't been much reason to act as a team lately, so it's a tough call whether they're still running.

Heh. Wonder if that's part of their agenda, actually. Lying low, making people disorganized and complacent.
