Be honest, please.

[It's Cecil's voice speaking, but his face isn't anywhere near the camera. Instead, the video shows a pan filled with pudding. Pudding that looks like it contains enough food dye to poison a man, all mixed together into some sort of eye-searing slurry, but pudding still.]

Is this recognizable as rainbow pudding in any way, shape or form? The... separation between the colors is not quite as clear as I'd hoped it would be.

[Apologies to both pudding-haters and fans of tasteful color palettes.]

Of course it does. Even back home, no one ever manages to successfully extract the pudding pocket from a flan's corpse on their first try.

[Wait, what? "Flan's corpse?" What is that??]

...Tell me about the flan!

Many species of flan-shaped monsters inhabit my world, and one of their shared characteristics is the secretion of rainbow pudding within their bodies. Sadly, the inner pocket that contains it is extremely fragile; one needs both talent and luck to extract it unharmed.

[Well, that doesn't sound any weirder than at least half the stuff one might see on Pandora. And it sounds more delicious!]

What happens if you screw up?

If you screw up but have strength, you've a flan corpse at your feet and nothing delicious to show for it. If you screw up and have little or no strength, you become a corpse yourself.
