[It's Cecil's voice speaking, but his face isn't anywhere near the camera. Instead, the video shows a pan filled with pudding. Pudding that looks like it contains enough food dye to poison a man, all mixed together into some sort of eye-searing slurry, but pudding still.]

Is this recognizable as rainbow pudding in any way, shape or form? The... separation between the colors is not quite as clear as I'd hoped it would be.

[Apologies to both pudding-haters and fans of tasteful color palettes.]

Right. They're the bags you would use to decorate cakes. And if you can get your hands on those re-sealable storage bags at the store then those oughta be fine, too.

As for keeping the flavors separate? It should work until someone digs into it, sure.

I'll have to try that technique next time, should there be a next time. The results might not last very long, considering the appetites of this household, but seeing a proper pudding after so many years would be worth the price of those bags.

Your help would be appreciated, especially if you can manage to find a proper recipe. Preparing this from memory is much harder than finding flans and harvesting it.

Ideally, rainbow pudding should have seven separate layers, each with its own flavor that delicately blends with the next. Achieving that is harder than it looks.

So, what's the flavor even supposed to be?

Each of the seven colors is supposed to taste like a specific fruit, from the red strawberry to the violet plum. Ideally, the first layer subtly gives way to the second, and so on.

Which means that this tastes like bland fruit salad blended with pure sugar, obviously.

Wonder what the trick is. Gotta admit, making pudding's not really my strong point, but there must be some way to pull it off.
