[It's Cecil's voice speaking, but his face isn't anywhere near the camera. Instead, the video shows a pan filled with pudding. Pudding that looks like it contains enough food dye to poison a man, all mixed together into some sort of eye-searing slurry, but pudding still.]

Is this recognizable as rainbow pudding in any way, shape or form? The... separation between the colors is not quite as clear as I'd hoped it would be.

They truly are pretty, are they not? I first saw them when the officers drove us to Olivine during that storm years ago, and it broke my heart when I learned they were toxic.

I understand. None of our wheeled vehicles are advanced enough to need oil, but Damcyan's few hovercrafts do. Though the oil they use looks far less appetizing than even this pudding.

[And who would want to? That's why it's a well-known practice not to use your squid form on roads. You definitely did not want to pick up any of that stuff and have it working through your system.]

We do, though they are rare and very expensive. But flying is more convenient, be it on an airship or on a pudding-loving Dragonite. Hovering over mountains and oceans is far beyond what we can manage.

[He'd compare it to trying to ride a levitating Pokémon, but the thought of trying to sit on his Lunatone is too painful to ponder.]

He has a sweet tooth in general, and there was a sale on chocolate pudding the week after he hatched. Young children imprint on the strangest things, even when they have scales.

Good hearing is both a blessing and a curse, in this world, but I'm glad he's still managed to find music that he loves.

That's likely to be the case for the Pokémon with the Soundproof ability, but I'm not sure the others are so lucky. I know Rosie reacts to it, sometimes...

It's a trait that makes certain Pokémon immune to attacks and move that involve sound, such as Hyper Voice. It's possible that it also affects their hearing outside of battle.
