Hello there everyone, my name is Pamela Isley.
I arrived yesterday and I have been doing some reading. It appears there is a whole sub division of these creatures based on plant life. Referred to as 'Grass', I believe? I'm not entirely sure how accurate is it to name a whole diverse sub species after Poaceae but I am a little out of my element here.
Anyway, I would be very interested in collecting some information on this specific type. If you have one of the vast array of specimens that fall into this 'Grass typing' please tell me about them. Also, if anyone would be kind enough let me know where I could find some for myself that would be very helpful.
Action [Route 29]
Ivy is sat in the grass, watching her newly caught Hoppip dance and spin around with a bunch of its fellows. She scribbles notes furiously in her book with her brow furrowed in thought, her Bulbasaur watching her with keen interest.
Occasionally, she pulls out her PokeGear to look at something, or consults the book she has laid out beside her.

[She is of course not referring to botany but Ivy probably can figure that out.]
You should enjoy this place. It seems that environmental destruction isn't spreading as quickly here. There's still pollution and things but since this world is so focused around pokemon people tend to be more thoughtful I guess.

Yes, I think some investigation into the environmental conditions may be due later down the line.

As for plant pokemon this is mine. My friend Diana caught her and gave her to me as a gift. She's playful and a little silly but helps me out when I need her.

She looks exactly like a Prunus doesn't she? How large is she?
Re: Text;
Apparently the second head is pretty nutritious because my bird pokemon keep trying to eat it and getting knocked back by her attacks. I usually give her honey to calm her down.

Re: Text;
I mean...I've also seen pokemon get lit on fire and be healed up just fine so I wouldn't panic the next time you see like...a cow pokemon eyeing up a plant type.
Most pokemon's diets seem to stick to things like berries or the food we give them anyway. Or I guess just regular grass.

I see. What about carnivores?
Re: Text;
The most popular sport, and basically how most disputes are settled in this world is by having your pokemon fight each other. And apparently the pokemon love to do it. And since they can usually be healed pretty easily at a pokecenter it doesn't have too many drawbacks.
Plus they get stronger and turn into more powerful and elaborate pokemon.

Re: Text;
But the rules of this world seem to operate around this concept. You make the pokemon fight each other to capture them, you make them fight each other to get stronger.
As far as I can tell, it's been like this for as long as the people of this world can remember. And most of the newbies adjust to it.
I'm still figuring out where I draw the line with my own team. If they don't wanna fight I'm not gonna force them into it

Alright then.

...it's a really hard moral point to navigate based on how the rules of this world seem to operate.
[Which is basically saying "Please don't think less of me for going along with how this world works."]
