Hello there everyone, my name is Pamela Isley.

I arrived yesterday and I have been doing some reading. It appears there is a whole sub division of these creatures based on plant life. Referred to as 'Grass', I believe? I'm not entirely sure how accurate is it to name a whole diverse sub species after Poaceae but I am a little out of my element here.

Anyway, I would be very interested in collecting some information on this specific type. If you have one of the vast array of specimens that fall into this 'Grass typing' please tell me about them. Also, if anyone would be kind enough let me know where I could find some for myself that would be very helpful.

Ivy is sat in the grass, watching her newly caught Hoppip dance and spin around with a bunch of its fellows. She scribbles notes furiously in her book with her brow furrowed in thought, her Bulbasaur watching her with keen interest.

Occasionally, she pulls out her PokeGear to look at something, or consults the book she has laid out beside her.

How adorable. And interesting. It seems there's quite the variety even within these 'typings'.

Mostly stones. I do not quite understand the magic behind them, but exposure can make specific types of Pokemon evolve. The stone vanishes when they do so - perhaps it is made up of an energy they require.

So these outside factors can implement the evolution process? Does environment have any sway?

Between Kanto and Johto, it appears not. Oh - Johto is where you are now, if you have just arrived? Kanto is the neighboring country.

But I have heard tell that some Pokemon have taken different forms in the Alolan islands. New adaptations for a very different environment, perhaps.

Someone mentioned an archipelago containing some variations aswel. I'll have to see if I can get some to study.

Is that so? I am not especially well-traveled here myself; I have settled down in Johto.

I think it might be a waste for me not to spend some time exploring my new 'home'.

I can understand that! Were I here alone, I might do the same, but my children are here with me. It is better for them to have some stability - especially after being torn away from home like this.

How lucky for you to have family here. Or... would you consider that unlucky?

I consider it lucky that I am here to be with them! They both arrived before I did, and they should not have to travel and train to make their own living at this age.

...of course, it is unfortunate in some ways that they are here at all, instead of home.

[For Frisk. Asriel has nothing to go back to - this is his second chance at life. Asgore could never really regret anything that caused that.]

But I think we have made the best of it.
