I'll take P1500 for most of the eggs, with the Magikarps and the Caterpies at a third of the price. I'm also willing to trade for eggs or young specimen of the more recent or uncommon species.

[Wasn't emptying his reserve of eggs the whole point, though...?]

It made history classes much easier to bear, I will say that much. Not many students agreed but I found it particularly interesting. Not as interesting as care of magical creatures but it was good information to have all the same.

Well, if your preferences leaned towards magical creatures, you've certainly found yourself in the right world. You'll find that they are strongly linked to the local history, too.

...I have to admit that I've always wondered what would cause cats and dogs to rain from the skies in masses, but we've not yet had a repeat performance.

We've had two cases of widespread migrations by surprisingly non-lethal falls, some years ago. Surely it'd take more than a change in weather or available nutrition to cause that.

[That..okay he seriously had no words for that. This place had to have some sort of magic running through it that humans were just incapable of tapping into.]

I certainly hope no one--human or Pokemon--was ultimately harmed when that happened. It doesn't sound very pleasant.

The Pokémon were fine, if somewhat shaken. The humans too, mostly, though I believe there were a few minor injuries due to... unexpected dropping Furfrous.

[Furfrous should not be applied directly to people's heads at great speed. It causes headaches.]

That does sound like it would be rather unpleasant.

Nothing of that sort has happened recently though? [A pause.] Does that mean we're due for an anomaly of that sort?

We've had another migration since then, last year. One that did not involve raining animals. We should be safe for another year or two.

That is good to know. At least that means any information I receive about the whereabouts of Pokemon will stay true.

Certain species sometimes travel in swarms or spread to nearby routes, but nothing as widespread or impressive as a region-wide cat rain. Though a few species are extremely difficult to find even if the information you receive is true.

Which species are you referring to?

There should be one or two everywhere you'll go, but if you want specifics... It took about a week and multiple burns before I managed to find a Larvesta in Cinnabar. And that was the species I was specifically looking for.
