[ first showdown: video ]
[ When the feed turns on, there's Nisha, staring into the camera. She taps the top of the thing--it's definitely picked up by the audio--before she leans back a little.
The Salandit that's made itself at home across her shoulders gives a little croon, and Nisha scratches it under the chin like it's a dog. ]
Can't believe this crap is so outdated, but good to see some things never change. [ She looks incredibly relaxed, considering. ] Anyway, guess a greeting's in order, since I don't know how the hell long it's been since I was here last.
Nisha Kadam, pleasure's all yours. I've got a proposition for everyone here. When I get my team all trained up? Come and find me.
I'll gladly battle anyone who wants a challenge. And Vault Hunters, if you're out there ruining things all over again? You're all at the top of my list.

[She hadn't meant for her voice to come with a hint of a challenge, it simply spilled out before she could catch hold of herself. For a moment, she could only blink dumbly at her 'gear, unsure of how to follow the statement. Back home, this thing was meant to be a secret -- one Jack kept even from her.
But hadn't telling everyone here been her own form of rebellion.]
I... apologize for being so abrupt. Jack is my father and I... [Somewhere in her, the Guardian Angel awoke, sliding back into the long discarded role of manipulator.] wanted to get to know the woman he married.

S'why I said more than almost anyone, kid.
[ Nisha waves her off. ]
Don't need to apologize. I like a little fight, but I'm pretty sure you've heard about that. Or you've seen it yourself. [ She's not even gonna pretend on that front. ] Sounds like a plan.
Jack speaks highly of you. Sounds absolutely over the moon whenever he talks about you. Never heard a father spaz about his kid like that. So, I guess what I'm trying to say is I've wanted to get to know you, too, girlie.

It surprises me that he told me about you. Though I suppose all bets are off here in this new place. [Angel paused, considering her words carefully. Would Nisha be bothered by the idea of secrets between them, or laugh it off if Angel tried to wave it in her face? She knew of Angel's existence, but the siren couldn't help but wonder just how far that knowledge went.
She'd consider the idea another time -- Angel didn't think it would have much of an effect now.]
I suppose it doesn't matter. We are both here now, right?
