[There's a little girl in semi tattered clothing looking at the screen. She's not sure what's going on so she's settled for looking serious. No she's not scared at all, you're imaging things. It took her a while to figure out how this thing worked but she thinks she has a way to talk to people now. Just going to be calm and serious here.]

I'm looking for a spaceship. We must have crashed and I think some lady took me off it when I was asleep. Only she wouldn't tell me where she took my friends and then kicked me out of her house. So they might still be on the ship. Only, two of them are hurt really bad so I need to find them before anyone tries to take them out of their pods without Ripley there.

[There's a small pause.]

Also my name's Newt, and it's not my birthday. I think there's something wrong with that lady and the weird machine she gave me. It says I'm ten, but I'm not....not yet.

.....and there's a weird animal that won't stop following me. They don't seem mean, but I don't know what they want.

[At that a Growlithe appears behind her, looking at the screen. Newt has been adopted and she doesn't even know it yet.]

The animal is a Pokemon first off, and it's a Growlithe. It's a fire dog Pokemon.

A lot of people have woken up in the two starter towns to be honest, and given a Pokemon and supplies. You're not the first person to awake in this fashion. I'm not too sure why this happens, but every so often it does. Sorry. Your friends might not be here, considering there's a lot of people from different worlds in this world.

Pokemon are like animals, but they're very intelligent. Also, they come in 18 distinct types, ranging from normal to psychic. Your Growlithe can also battle wild Pokemon and trainer Pokemon as well.

A little bit? There's other- [Monsters.] -Pokemon on the roads between cities. They're not dangerous exactly. But they're very territorial sometimes.

That animal--a Growlithe, actually--is your partner Pokemon. They simply want to be with you, that's all. It's--most Pokemon tend to feel that way towards humans, honestly.

...I thought Ripley might be nearby because she was in the ship too. So I was yelling for her and the ...pokemon thought it was her new name I think.

But ....I think it fits because people keep saying she's going to protect me and Ripley always protected me. No matter what.

They told me about pokemon and how they protect you but also fight other ones. The wild ones will attack but they don't kill people. You use your pokemon to collect more friends. Also the centers will let you sleep inside them when it's cold. And that things at home stay the same. So if I go back, I'll be in the same place as before.
