[Newt's second video to the feed is a lot different then her first. She's smiling for one thing. She also has two new pokemon next to her, a Cubone and and Absol. They're both very young and sticking very close to Newt. She waves at the camera. A little nervous still, but smiling.]

I've got two new pokemon now. This is Hudson

[She points the camera to the Cubone leaning against her. Not looking at the camera]

And this is Vasquez.

[A quick point to the Absol who is somehow glaring at the screen.]

They're both a little shy but that's okay. We're family now. Thank you Walter. I promise I'll take good care of them! I told Feathers to say hello to you for me when he left, too.

Um, I do have a question though. How do people decide what to name their pokemon? I named my two new ones after people who are ....gone now. I don't have that many names like that left  that I want to use....so it's going to be harder to pick ones that fit them.

And....I'm not really good at picking names and I'll have to do that in the future...what do you guys do?

There was a war, a long time before I was even made. Over people's right to artistic expression and individuality. The side that wanted freedom won, and a bunch of people named the children born afterwards after colors as a kind of celebration. It turned into a tradition.

No. Why would it be?

At home there's an android named Bishop that was one of the few of us that survived. He saved my life and he's my friend.

[Bishop may not be aware of the friendship status he's been moved into. But to Newt, Bishop survived and saved her, and came back so is therefore very important.]

Oh. ...Are there a lot of androids in your world? On Remnant it was just me.

I'm not sure. I lived on a small colony for most of my life. I only met Bishop when he came with the marines.

There's more on Earth though I think.

Bishop. Was he a military android? ...Because of those monsters you talked about?

I don't think so. He didn't fight. He did science stuff and fixed things and flew a ship once to rescue me and Ripley. She wasn't a soldier either.

Sounds like they were both pretty brave, like you. I'd like to meet them someday.

If they show up I'll introduce you to them. I want them to meet all the friends I'm making.

[She goes quiet though.]

Ripley said I was brave too....but I was really scared the whole time and when things jumped out at me I screamed a lot. If I was brave I wouldn't be so afraid.....wouldn't I?

...I don't know, really.

[She's quiet for a moment, thinking.]

I don't think being brave means not being scared ever? It's more like- you're scared, but you do what you need to anyway. Even if that's just surviving.

Oh....I guess that makes sense. ....Ripley said she was scared too and she's brave.

....I don't want to be that scared ever again though. ....I think it made me different then I used to be like.

[Why yes Newt. Going through that much trauma WILL change you. In your case PTSD, phobia's, an obsession with survival and the sense that everyone you meet will die.]
