[Yeah, he maybe only half listened to the explanations, but seriously, things were bad a minute ago.]

Seems pretty common place, too. People come from rough circumstances. Wars, broken homes, sometimes both... Sometimes they're even dead beforehand.

I'd say this place might be a nice escape, but I know that's easier said than done.

Only in passing. Whatever happens in my future, I haven't seen it yet. Just heard bits and pieces from friends who have gone through world-ending situations.

Though there have been some pretty huge incidents here.

Well, we've had rampaging monsters. Bombings. Train jackings, glitches, and evil organizations trying to command gods, just to name a few examples.

That's... a lot for one place.

People mentioned 'Team Rocket'. Are they the ones pulling all of these stunts?

Well, most of the time, but there have been other teams in the past. Magma, Aqua... They're the ones who wound up trying to harness the power of giant, elemental monsters and nearly blew us off the face of the planet.

[It's said way too calmly, given what he just described.]

But they haven't really surfaced since, and in the end, we did stop them... with a little godly intervention.
