[ Romelle decided to find an out-of-the-way grove to set up camp for the night and figured that she might as well send out a message. She hasn't seen any familiar faces yet, but that doesn't mean that they're not around. Her Growlithe curls on her lap to keep her warm while she sets up her 'gear.

Mumbling: ] The red light is on, so it must be... Oh, hello! My name is Romelle and I'm a new "Trainer." I am not quite sure what that means and that woman rushed me out of the house before really answering any of my questions.

[ She huffs a little. It was rather rude. ]

Anyway. If anyone out there has advice or information for a new Trainer, I would greatly appreciate it.

[ She gives the camera a small and slightly self-conscious wave before turning off her 'gear. ]

[ She remembers seeing him around the Garrison, though they haven't exactly had a proper conversation or anything. ]

He's still his larger build, but with his longer hair pulled back and a bit of a tan going. Torracat is still large and riding his shoulder but Keith looks a bit more relaxed climbing off Skarmory.] Romelle?

[ It's cold, but Romelle decides to sit outside of the Pokemon center anyway-- it's the most noticeable building, so she decides that it's the easiest to find.

Her Growlithe perks up from his spot on her lap and jumps down right away. Romelle looks over and perks up immediately. She breaks into a light jog, even though she's tired. ]

Keith! That was much faster than I expected.

[Oh good, he got the right place. He's never been a smiley kind of guy, but the corners of his lips turn up a little when he sees her. Okay. They're almost all here. Now they just need Allura, Coran, Kosmo... Kolivan, his mom.... Man, they're still short a lot of people. For now, he raises a hand in a wave.] Yeah, took a shortcut. [His Skarmory behind him makes a trill.]

But there's not really that much in the town and she's always there. So once you leave you don't have to see her ever again.

There's a lot of us. I don't know the exact number right now, but dozens and dozens. People come in almost every week or so, but sometimes there'll be nobody for a while or a bunch of people all at once. No one's really entirely sure how it all works, but there's a lot of theories and some of them have pretty convincing evidence. And involve...a lot of stuff you don't have context for yet....

Hello Romelle, my name is Connor. The woman at the house isn't very helpful, but you'll find the other trainers and breeders here are. There should be a book in your backpack that answers most of your questions, but I'd be happy to elaborate if anything confuses you.

As for general advice... that Growlithe you have will evolve to be very large one day, if you use the appropriate stone on it.

[He switches the camera to focus on a huge Arcanine resting on the floor at the foot of a hotel bed. The bed is a double, but the Arcanine still makes the bed look small.]

It can get a little cramped in a small room.

[Especially with a Magnezone hovering about, too.]

A stone will change my Growlithe?

[ Guess who kind of skimmed the beginner's guide but didn't pay attention. ]

Yes, if you choose to use it. You would have to buy the stone first, though. There are many different stones that evolve certain other pokemon. Most pokemon evolve without using items, but Growlithe requires a Fire Stone.

[The camera pans to a Raichu next, who gives Romelle a cheerful "Rairai!".]

This is a Raichu, for example. I had to use a Thunder Stone to evolve him from a Pikachu.

The colony was hidden in the Quantum Abyss. Physics changes on a whim, and there are deadly creatures all over. Unless you know one of the few safe paths through, you would die before encountering the colony.

I didn't, but Pokemon are just like regular animals. They get hungry too. Most times they don't really want to fight humans.

[And when faced with the prospect of free food, most animals (and Sasha) would take it and run.

Now that the perpetrator is gone, Sasha manages to get a good look at the other trainer. At first she gives her a neutral look. Then it quickly turns into a curious stare, then the light of realization blooms over Sasha's features once she takes in the ears and facial markings that someone once told her about].
